“Great Location Super Friendly Staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2013

We have just returned from a long weekend pre Christmas and Birthday break, and could not have been much happier with the Trilussa as a place to stay. On arrival the receptionist could not have been more friendly and helpful in showing us some top sights on the map, this continued with all members of staff. On the Saturday at breakfast the waiter and waitress brought over cakes and wished me happy birthday, (my wife tried to take the credit). Location is great, we like walking and never stepped on public transport, however the tram stop in 50 metres up the road and the Traverse railway station is a 10 minute stroll, we caught the FR2 from the airport, EU8 each, bargain. A 15 minute walk once you can navigate the backstreets take you to some excellent restaurants and bars, none tried to rip us off. Value for money I cant complain, WiFi was quick as well, useful for looking up information on the move. The only reason I have not given it a 5 rating is I would have liked the spa to be slightly cheaper, we did originally think it was, although the hotel website clearly tells you it is an additional cost. That aside I don't think we would have had time. Breakfast was good, eggs cooked to order plenty of buffet to choose from, gutted we only discovered the roof garden on the last evening, thought it was closed in winter it is not. I would recommend this hotel without question.

Room Tip: Ask for Balcony high up to get views.

My party of 7 stayed here for 3 nights in October. Very nice accommodations; nice breakfast; nice staff; nice location. The section of Rome was excellent and there was transportation to wherever you wanted to go.

Room Tip: Get the best rooms possible; pay the slight higher charge

Just back from three nights here. I arrived at midday and the room was ready in five minutes, which was good, and I was given some kind of upgrade. The room was good, everything clean and in working order and very comfortable bed.

The best reason to stay here is the very helpful staff, always happy to give directions and generally answer dumb tourist questions.

I was there in December but imagine that in summer their roof terrace is an ideal place to disappear to after a morning's sightseeing.

It's not in the centre of anything and if a hotel that is surrounded by things to see and do is your thing then you should possibly look elsewhere - but the walk into town is pleasant and the No. 8 tram very frequent.

We stayed here for 3 nights after reading many reviews and we were very pleased with this hotel. This staff were very helpful and friendly . Easy access to the train which is right across the street. We walked around the neighborhood every night to go to dinner and felt very safe. The room was clean and comfortable but a note to people like me who are hot in nature ....they either have heat or air conditioning and the air conditioning was cut off after October. We tried to sleep with the balcony door open but the street is noisy. So travel with a fan if you need air flow! Outside of me being hot the bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. We would definitely stay here again we enjoyed it very much.

Excellent place to stay in Rome. The staff are very friendly and speak very good English(at least for the ones at the reception). It offers bed and breakfast and their breakfast has a selection of various cereals, fruits, juice e.t.c
Being in the heart of Rome and a walking distance from Trastevere station, visiting the Vatican takes 10 minutes at most from trastevere to San Pietro. There is a tram line near the entrance of the hotel and if you take it till the end of its line you can walk to the Colosseum.
The hotel does not offer lunch or dinner but there are very many food courts around Rome.
The TV has SKY cable which offers TV shows and movies in English so you won't get bored of the entertainment. Bathroom is not very big but this should only be a problem for very fat people. The AC is controlled by the staff at the reception so you have to call them if you want to raise or lower the temperature. The rooms have a minibar with water, beer and soft drinks.

I would recommend this hotel to any new guest in Rome.

Wow. What a place. We loved it!

Very cosy room, plenty of space and the bathroom was out of this world!

Very friendly staff, always polite and always helpful.

Tip - catch the tram into the centre - we walked a lot which was fine, but walking around all day too tires you out!

Would love to go back one day.
