I have mixed feelings about this attraction...whilst it is not the most sophisticated of attractions, it does brings Ancient Rome to life for the kids and help them imagine what the City used to be like. You sit in moving seats and 'time travel' back to the Romans; please be cautious if you suffer from extreme motion sickness, the ride did make one lady sick (although there are warnings about this). The ride is quite old and was a little jerky in places but otherwise fine. You will have seen better animatronics and visuals elsewhere but it works in terms of getting the kids to 'see' the old buildings and resting their little legs during a day of heavy sightseeing.

There are three different shows and you can purchase a combo ticket for two or all three.

Kids under the are allowed but will probably won't enjoy much.

If you want a light highted 40 minutes this is the place. Story of 2000 years of Rome in 3D and such fun. Reasonably priced as well.

This is a tourist trap and an expensive one. I wanted the kids to learn some history of Rome and this show sounded pretty good. However 3d really means 3 screens, not anything like Imax, other effects is just a random shaking of the mechanism which seems very old and makes terrible clancking noise. The story itself is weak and pathetic. That said my 6 year old who is a big fun of simulators said that it was kind of fun. How much he actually learned I am not sure.

If you have time to pop into the Time Elevator you will have an enjoyable experience. The staff do try and persuade you to watch extra films (Dinosaurs and Horror House) but I was adament that I only wished to see the History of Rome.
This is really a simulator ride so If you don't like that kind of thing there is the option to sit in static seating.
Great fun for all ages and educational too!
