Nice and comfortable place, reasonable service depending on who is serving, my bed was quite springy, didn't think they existed any more, my wifes bed was ok.
Easy links to the hotel and good restaurants close by.
Overall not bad but would class as no more than 3 stars.

The hotel is situated at the end of a dead end street, steps down to the main road allow access to the local area.

Reception is light and clean, the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was very good, the shower was fantastically powerful and hot water was plentiful. The room was cleaned and fresh towels were provided every day.

Breakfast starts at 7am and goes on until 10am, which should suit most people, its about as comprehensive as a continental breakfast can be, with a wide chioce of items, the pasteries were fresh, and everything was constantly being replenished.

The bar at the hotel is small, 6 chairs inside, the rest i belive is outside but i never saw anybody there, i only used it for a drink while wiating for the transfer to the airport.

Locally there are enough shops and places to eat without going into the centre of Rome, but the regular buses run all day, not necessarily to a timetable (this is Rome!), and non of the locals seem to buy a ticket.

Recommended for a city break, yes its out of the centre but its only a 6km bus ride, the hotel has free wifi, but only one english speaking TV channel (CNN), personally i didnt go to Rome to watch TV or use the internet so this was not a problem.

One thing to watch is the room doors, they close automatically but make a loud bang in the process, this can be annoying when inconsiderate people dont exercise some care when returning late.

Having read the reviews I was a little worried I had booked the trip and my partner likes his luxury. We were both surprised at the quality for the money we paid plus surprised by the negative reviews. Firstly yes it is out of the city but a very frequent bus either the 60L or the 60 take you straight to a central location. We actually liked the fact we could come back to the hotel at night and chill. There are local places to eat and drink which are cheap but quality. Full of locals who like to relax enjoy their wine, food and coffee.
We were in room 210, very quiet location, the only negative was the poor state of the shower curtain and the nets in the bathroom, plus some damp. This does need to be looked at as it did take my score down.
Breakfast was ok, coffee, juice, cakes, meats and cheeses. Warm rolls, eggs and jam. All fresh and well presented, a good start to the day. The staff are helpful and pleasant .
Would I recommend to a friend yes, I would tell them the plus points and the downs and let them make up their mind.
For us we had a lovely time and the hotel was part of that.
Check out the new local bar Mezza Litro (see my review), if you are staying at Sunrise you really must go there.

I'll be realistic, a week here cost less than 6 nights in a rubbish apartment in the Paris outskirts. Situated in a lively area, this comfortable hotel has friendly staff, great cleaners and superb showers. Me and my girlfriend loved it, so much so that we are going back again in September.

We arrived at this hotel on 2 December and stayed for 3 nights. The reception staff was great and helped us in booking tours, taxis and train tickets. They also gave us an overview of how to go about the city and it's attractions. The rooms were small (standard European rooms), clean. The only drawback of this hotel is that it's away from the city center. You have to travel by bus to reach any of centers. For travellers planning to stay in this hotel, I would recommend you to take the Leonardo express from the Rome airport to the termini station and a bus or taxi from the termini station to this hotel as the taxi fares from the airport to the hotel are high.

We stayed here in September for 4 nights, the hotel and room were clean, the staff very friendly and the breakfast had a good variety. Although not in the touristy district it has 2 buses that will take you to Termini and next to the Coloseum. Once you get there you can walk to the main attractions.

The place is clean, but old.

The location is bad, but 20 minutes walking and you have a metro station.

The breakfast doesn't have a large variety of food but the food have quality.

The rooms are nice but as i told before, are old.
