I was on a trip to Rome with my class and of course I didn't expect a lot.... - But this was honestly, the worst hotel I have ever stayed at!
First of all, the staff at this "hotel" were so unfriendly and one of the men there didn't even speak english very well. The rooms were really dirty ( I don't think they were being cleaned every day ) and where was that safety box?! We also experienced that a few people got some money stolen from their room. The lady in the reception even admitted that one of the cleaning ladies had "cleaned up" in one of the suitcases. Only one of the men in the reception was nice and at least he spoke english. Second of all, the breakfast was horrible! - There was not a lot to choose from.
I could go on and on about this hotel, but I think I've covered the most important things.
- An overall very very bad experience.

I spent 4 nights in the Hotel Mirage. Even though I had booked for the Caroline Suite, the room was very small, and they offered us a bigger room at the Hotel Mirage.
Very clean room, new furniture, and everything new in the bathroom working great.
The breakfast was nice, offering many things. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful, apart from one person who should me more polite to the guests.
The location is super, we could see the Termini Station from the window of our room. Literally 1 minute walk from the hotel. And of course you can walk to many attractions.
I would stay there again!

I paid just 55 euros for a double room with bathroom, so it's good value for money.
The room was average but I will definitely go back even if it was quite cold in the room.

There's a lift and the luggage room seems to be quite safe.

The hotel is situated close to the Terravision bus stop at Termini Station.
A taxi ride from Piazza Navona is 12 euros at night.

I have tried to put a review for galaxy bnb in rome but as the mirage hotel is the reception for it, ill add it here. The galaxy is just round the corner and still very central to the train station. We were asked to provide a 20 euro deposit for the key which was so heavy we didnt want to lug it anywhere in any case. There were 4 of us on a two week trip of europe in the one room, the room was very clean, modern and quiet, excellent value in dec 2010. Breakfast was fresh and the perfect amount to set us up for the 3 days we were there. On the last day we had to catch an early train and we had breakfast at the mirage as too early for galaxy times which was fine with us. The deposit was never mentioned on checkout and as we were in a rush to get to our train we forgot to ask for it. When i emailed to ask if it could be posted i had no response so emailed again, to which they offered us 20 euro credit next time but no other alternative. Two of our group were from new zealand and unlikely to return so this wasnt great. Its also 40 dollars nz which is quite a bit to never see again for a key! I do understand hotels must get slacked off with people not returning keys and cards but i felt the hotel could have posted the money back or put it on our card. Otherwise a very good stay.

If you need a hotel to sleep and take a rest only, this is the place. Right across the street of "Termini" (where you can go just anywhere in Rome and Italy)
They serve a decent breakfast. Don;t miss the family owned cantina right next to the hotel! They have a great 3 courses diner deal for 15 euro (or so) Any food in Italy is GREAT! OMG!!

We were 5 persons, we reserved a family room for three night, big surprise, there were 5 beds separated by 20 cm each, horrible mattresses. The room looks like a hostel room.

Cleanliness was good, but I recommend it for two people only.
