That´s a beautifull church, as many others in Rome are. I´d like to be an speciallist to give more details.

The decoration in this church takes your breath away! Gloriously over the top! The imitation dome is worth a look.

The Jesuit congregation, la Compañía de Jesus, reached in some times of catholic church's history an enormous importance and power. Naturally this was not for free. Ennemies were very much concerned about the growing influence of this congregation. They were mainly devoted to missionary action (Japan, China, India) and to the education of the leading families's youngsters. In this church you can look at some marvellous frescos that simulate the existance of a dome-like ceiling that does not actually exist. You feel the power and theascethism of the jesuit congregation at this church were its Roman H.Q. was

The facade however is simple in style (as per Italian Standards) is quite tempting to look at. The tomb like structure is punctuated by small pot like top which makes it unique among all.
Uncrowdy serenity is there to enjoy.
