Best Western Blu Hotel Roma
Ranked #407 of 1,269 Hotels in Rome

The hotel is about 1/2 mile from Tiburtina station. Walking was not good without sidewalks in an industrial area.
Make sure you are on the right metro toward Rebibbia because Line B splits. Take bus 545 or 409 from Tiburtina station and get off 2 stops right at the road split. Hotel is 30 feet on your right. Triburtina has trains to the FCO airport. Plan ahead, much less trains on weekends.

Hotel is nice once you figured out transportation! Restaurant in hotel is not that good. Room was clean and staffs were polite. Computer with printer in lobby was very old. Free Wi-Fi was nice. Flight got cancelled? They can't help!

Enjoy!

We stayed at this hotel for just under two week in December.
Check in was very easy, all front desk staff spoke good English. Franco was very helpful upon our arrival, giving us a map & advice on the best way to get around to see all the sights.
The room was pleasant & clean ( chambermaids done a very good job every day). Also good Wifi connection in room.
Breakfast was very good, excellent range to choose from ( cereals, pastries, eggs, bacon etc). Again all staff very pleasant, special mention to Claudia who greeted us every morning with a lovely cheerful smile.
Location is not right in the city centre but only about a 10 min walk to Tiburtina metro so not too difficult to get to the sightseeing spots.
Overall a very good experience & their customer service was excellent, would happily stay again.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. To get there we took the metro to Tiburtina Station. Exit the station at the bus station, walk straight ahead towards the main road, go left on a road across the train lines. When you reach the houses past the station, cross the road and go straight down past the self service restaurant. Be careful, you run out of pavement for a while. The hotel is on the right hand side about 15 minutes walk from the station. You can also get here on bus 409 from the station. It is the 4th stop.

The hotel staff were very pleasant, helpful and friendly. They spoke good English check in was quick and efficient. We were given a map of the area.

Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We had 4 bottles of water in the fridge but they cost 2.5 Euro each. They were cheaper from the machine downstairs. We had a room safe. Kettles were available on request. We had our own so did not bother.

Breakfast was very good. It consisted of coffee from a self-service machine or freshly made on request, tea, juices, water, bacon, scrambled egg, boiled egg, toast, bread, rolls, cheese, cold meat, salad, cereal, yoghurt and cakes. I was very impressed.

Getting into the centre was easy from Tiburtina. The only thing was the walk to the station was not so nice - busy roads, lots of traffic, but then there was always the bus.

Check out was quick and efficient and they stored our bags for us, too. Free WiFi with good connectivity was provided. I would stay here again. Oh, there were some restaurants near the hotel and one in the hotel but we did not try them.

The location is horrible.. far from the city and it takes a while to walk to the metro. From the airport, the cab is about 60 euro. the cab driver also warned us the area was bad and known as a "bad area"...Also, we were told the metro line runs all night (IT DOESNT) so, we stayed out late one night only to have to take a 50 euro cab drive back... we were not happy. Otherwise, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is really good. but for the price, I would go closer to the city.

Location isn't great for the Best Western, but room rates are very reasonable for Rome. Hotel is perfectly acceptable - rooms okay, bar area alright, breakfast sufficient. Highlights are the coffee and the wifi. Also very good service levels.

This was my first trip to Europe - we did 2 weeks in Italy. The first 10 nights we stayed at this hotel. The hotel itself was pretty good. Staff friendly. Breakfast excellent. Our room overlooked courtyard which was better than overlooking neighbourhood as its a bit 'unsavoury'. Bathroom was lovely (and we had a bath.) Italian TV channels only on TV but free wi-fi which was great. There's a huge supermarket about 10mins away so we bought deli meats/cheese, snacks every night. We walked to Tiburtina station every morning (bus is nearby but traffic is bad in the morning.) We bought a 3 day metro pass (then a 7 day pass cause we needed to use it everyday.) Tiburtina is 4 stops away from Termini and very quick. Once you get use to metro (red and blue lines) its very handy. In hindsight I would have preferred to stay right in Rome to avoid the daily public transport but it was probably more expensive.

Room Tip: We were on the 5th floor, we had a bath and a courtyard view.
