This hotel is simple, tastefully done and extremely effective. Easy to find - just a 5/10 minute walk from the central 'Termini' station. Accessed through two huge double doors, with access to other apartments, 66 Imperial Inn was found on the 4th floor, which you can access either via a gorgeous but lengthy staircase, or a beautiful little old fashioned wooden lift. We entered the hotel doors straight into a cute, quirky reception area, with hand painted (we were told by the lovely host) stereo-typical Italian countryside scenery on the walls. This was also the 'breakfast' area in the morning, which is admittedly quite small, but this just makes it all the more cosy and 'homely' feeling. Or, if you weren't so keen on eating with others in the morning, you were given the option to have breakfast served to you in bed. Upon arrival into this gorgeous reception/eating area, our host was exceptionally helpful from the word go - providing us with a brilliant map (which lasted the entire sightseeing holiday and served us extremely well), carefully going through and marking on the map all of the absolute 'must-see' attractions across Rome, including recommended restaurants, which we were also extremely pleased with - just a stone's throw (literally) from the hotel, the meal at 'Ristorante Strega' (which, again, we would highly recommend) was by far the best meal we had during our time in Rome. After our in-depth discussion with host, Cristina, about the attractions of Rome, we were shown to our room. Now, upon booking our stay online, there was a 'additional comments' or 'other information' box at the bottom of the booking form - and from seeing the rooms online, I took a particular liking to the 'Zebra' room (self-explanatory from the website photos) so put a comment in this box with words to that effect. Definitely don't be afraid to do this if you take a fancy to a particular room - Cristina had indeed made sure that we were in that room! As we entered our room, Cristina said, 'I knew you liked the room from your booking, and it was available, so prego!' - A truly lovely, personal touch. The room was gorgeous - light, airy and beautifully designed, with all matching furnishings, giving a really well thought out and 'lovingly created' feel. The location was perfect - not right in the hustle and bustle of the really 'touristy' Rome centre, but close enough to it that you could walk to all the central attractions, like the Collosseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona (stunning- biggest 'square' in Rome - definitely make sure you sit and have a drink there!), Pantheon, Vatican city/St Peter's Square (if you fancy a longer walk), Spanish steps, etc etc. Breakfasts were simple but set you up for the day. Overall, I can't recommend this hotel enough - I can't fault anything. And even better - they have another 'branch', so to speak, in Venice - another destination we'd like to visit so we will most definitely be booking in there, knowing the high standards. Excellent stay!

Room Tip: As stated - when booking online, definitely don't be afraid to add an 'additional comment...

We chose this B&B on the basis of traveller feedback, being able to check availability and book online, and its central location and proximity to the Termini railway station. We were encouraged by the prompt, friendly, helpful and informative emails prior to arrival. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place is nicely furnished and decorated. Our room at the back on the fourth floor was clean and well-equipped. Although the wifi is said to be better at the front, the service was OK in our room. Breakfast is self-service (which we prefer); the staff show you where things are and now to operate the coffee machine etc. The water cooler in the hallway is a very useful facility. So this B&B turned out to be a very good choice for us.

Room Tip: Probably quieter in one of the back rooms.

A charming B & B which was a 10 min walk from the Termini station and well located for other major attractions (if you don't mind a walk). The lift up to the 4th floor was terrific, just like out of an old movie. The staff there were very helpful and provided good information on local attractions.
Our room for 3 was decorated in a violet and orange and was certainly different from the 'norm' hotel decor!
Breakfast was pastries, juices, cereals, cheese and coffee etc which were excellent but it would have been nice to have some fruit.
A cold water machine was a nice touch in the corridor and all worked well including Wifi.

I spent there a few days with my family and friends in October. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The main advantage for us was location - it's very convenient if you walk everywhere(especially with kids) - it's within a stone's throw from all the major sights. On the minus side - the restaurant cosists of a small kitchen space and 5 or 6 tiny tables so it can be quite awkward if you want to take your time at breakfast, have coffee afterwards and chat to your friends. However, they provide quite decent breakfast - fresh rolls, buns, honey, cheese, a selection of jam and yoghurt. To sum up - good value for money and you don't really need much else if you are going to do the sights all day long. Fully recommended!

Close to Termini, transportation, sites and in a good neighborhood, 66 Imperial Inn is an excellent choice. Room 404 was bright, clean and colorful with comfortable beds and good storage. We had three single beds with a desk, dresser, 2 ottomans and closet. Our room looked out onto a residential courtyard - not very picturesque, but we could see the nearby dome and campanile of Santa Maria Maggiore. The breakfast room/reception is a bit small but such a nice space, it really didn't matter. Breakfast was a good assortment of fresh pastries, yogurt, cereal, juices, coffee and tea. Our hosts were very nice and very helpful. Another reviewer was afraid of the elevator - there is nothing wrong with the elevator, it is just different from the ones you might find elsewhere (and not all glass as indicated). I've been in several similar elevators in small hotels in Rome and they are perfectly safe and I must say, with so much more style than an un-windowed box. I did not use the wi-fi so I cannot comment on signal availability. I would recommend this hotel and will certainly stay here again.

Room was spacious and clean, and bed was very comfortable. Building was hard to locate as the sign is very small and our Taxi driver could not find it and after driving round the area for a while, we had to set off on foot and ask for direction. However, the building is quite charming, with an old fashioned elevator. The wifi did not work at all in our room and we were told we could only get signal on the 4th floor where the front desk and breakfast room is situated. Breakfast was good and both Christina (the owner i think) and the other lady who took care of breakfast were very friendly and helpful. We were allowed to stay in our room and leave our things until it was time to go the airport at 5pm when check out time was 11am or so. That was much appreciated so we went about our day and came back to the hotel to freshen up before our flight.

If it wasn't for the wifi issue, i would give them a 5. The location is perfect, quiet street just across from the Opera Theatre, and a short walk to the Termini and Republica train stations. Loads of restaurants close by, and there was a street market going on just behind the hotel from where we bought some locally made leather bracelets.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the 4th floor

I will for sure stay a third time, it is so close to many attractions by foot, or easy train ride if so desired.
Staff is so friendly and helpful, breakfast is nice; the room is tiny so you meet the other guests at breakfast and staying in the apartment style inn makes you feel like Rome is your Home.
Rooms are clean and bright with towel service every 3rd day (so environmentally friendly too).

Room Tip: Beds are a bit hard (as I find in most of Italy) so you may want to put a blanket under the bottom s...
