Great hotel. Staff very friendly. Big bar with excellent service, good breakfast. Would definitely recommend and come again. Location fine with just a short walk to the action areas. Tv in room with lots of channels.

Everything was just wonderful. Friendly staff and really helpful and knowledgeable and ready to help further with suggestions. Actually staff you can talk to and understand you.

Room was very clean...and I'm really fussy guy....
Very close to main street but still far enough to keep noise from traffic at a minimum.
Very central and yet quietish....

Bathroom is very well done. Italian marble floor and superbly maintained. Not recommend it if you're really big...then it'd be small.
I loved it. It had also signs of perfection such as sticker of hotel at the end of the toilet paper and signature soaps. All signs that this hotel actually cares that you remember the experience with them. Signs that they want you back.

Very comfortable bed, warm room, no neon lights and no white lights but all wonderful warm sun color dimmed lights giving a warm impression of the room.
Excellent 42inch FlatTV, elegant, stylish furniture but not overly done, music in the room and bathroom and controllable from within,

Really ladies and gents... this hotel is totally recommendable.

Within walking distance from the city center the Empire hotel offers a descent place for a pleasant stay. The open space restaurant seems quite atmospheric for summer and late spring breakfast and dinners. However the winter breakfast room is below the standard of a 3 star.

I stayed here for two nights during February 2013 and found it to be a very comfortable and inviting hotel. The front desk staff were friendly and gave me a couple of great ideas of how to spend my day (I didn't want to do the normal tourist things) and the housekeepers and restaurant staff were consistently efficient and helpful. The room I stayed in was about average size for a European hotel and equipped with all of the toiletries, extra pillows and blankets, and soft towels I could possibly need. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation to anyone visiting Rome and looking for a quieter, reasonably priced place to stay.

Room Tip: Rooms toward the back of the hotel face onto a quiet side street, so there's little traffic nois...

This is the second time we have stayed in this lovely hotel. Our recent visit was a long weekend to watch the Italy v Wales rugby match.

The hotel is staffed by friendly personnel who go out of their way to help. They even checked our return flight online and printed our boarding passes.

We stayed in a deluxe room which had a secondary area with a huge television and settee. There was also a television in our bedroom. The bathroom was ample with a huge jacuzzi style bath with shower overhead. There were plenty of towels and lovely fluffy bathrobes with slippers. Housekeeping was excellent.

Breakfast was buffet style and offered plenty of choice. We actually had dinner in the hotel for the first time as we were so wet after the torrential rain on match day that we decided we couldn't face going out again. This proved to be a wonderful decision as the food on offer was fabulous and the service, albeit a little slow, very personal.

This hotel is within ten minutes of Repubblica metro and also the nearby bus terminus. From here you can get anywhere within Rome.

The only little niggle is that the pillows are rather hard, but apart from this we could not fault anything.

Now that we have sampled this excellent little hotel for the second time, we are already planning our next trip.
