This is located at the north end of Trajan's Forum, next to Piazza Venezia. This free standing column is famous for its spiral bas relief, which artistically represents the wars between the Romans and Dacians from 101 to 106AD. The continuous spiral wraps around the column 23 times from bottom to top. This style was copied many times for other works of art/history. Impressive art work that is a still standing historical artifact.
