This is a very impressive column, centrally located, commemorating the Emperor Trajan. It's very photogenic

As you are working your way from Piazza Venezia to the most Ancient Rome, you can’t miss this enormous well preserved victory column in honor of Emporer Trajan. The most puzzling thing occurred to me as I was walking past it. It is obvious that a lot of labor went to the intricate details inscribed all over it and at the top end. But, can anybody from the ground ever make out any of the detailed inscriptions from about 4 meters to the top? I don’t think so.

There are triumphal columns, and there are triumphal columns. This is one of history’s more remarkable ones, in large part because it has stood here for nearly two thousand years while Roman power has waxed and waned during that time.

Very nicely preserved monument, this beautiful Column describes Trajan's victory in the Dacian Wars. I would say it's not to be missed while visiting Rome.

This column is very tall and hard to see the statue at the top. While the height is impressive and is central to the Trajan’s Forum, it’s difficult to see and appreciate the beauty of it.
