From the moment Melissa met us outside the huge doors to our parting, she and Francois did everything the could to make our stay wonderful! The room was spotless, nicely decorated and well appointed with extras we really appreciated, not to mention the fantastic AC. Melissa's recommendations for restaurants and sights was right on. We highly recommend the Nicolas Inn to anyone planning a trip to Rome. The location can't be beat!

I chose this B&B based on the recommendation in the Rick Steve's book and we couldn't have been happier with our choice! Not only is the location awesome (5 min walk to the Colosseum), the building is too cute, well kept, and very clean. The AC works great which is a big plus during the summer, the rooms/bathrooms are very spacious, and the free wifi was great too! The owners go out of their way to help in any way from giving directions, making dinner recommendations, tour info, calling taxis, etc! Ill definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone I know visiting Rome.

Melissa and Francois run a simple but cosy 4 bedroom inn that feels just like home. Beautiful and clean rooms.

Breakfast is provided in a cafe a few doors away, simple straightforward fare with decent selection of sandwiches, pastries and coffee.

Great location on Via Cavour, a few minutes walk to almost everywhere you would probably want to go in Rome.

Very personal touch by the host/hostess in looking after all our needs. Lots of tips and advice on how to go around in Rome. Way better than the sterile politeness in chain hotels.

Great restaurant recommendations. Must try the 7 Sins @ Cleto in alley just opposite the main entrance.

We had a great weekend. We'll definitely be back again.

Our stay at Nicolas Inn was wonderful. In addition to the great location, tastefully decorated rooms and air conditioned comfort, the excellent service offered by Melissa and Francois really enhanced our 5 day stay in Rome. If you are planning a trip to Rome, you will be a very happy guest at Nicholas Inn!

Service was first rate. It's the little touches that make their place special, from Francois walking us down to the breakfast café and handling introductions for great service for our whole stay to Melissa's recommendation of Santa Cristina for one of our best dinners in Italy. She also hit home runs for all her advice on what to see and do at our chosen sites for the day. The room was exactly what we expected, clean and quiet. Location is perfect for the Colosseum and the Forum and an easy walk to Trevi Fountain. We would stay again!!

Room Tip: Had some issues with WiFi but once you got connected it worked fine.
