“Perfect location to explore Roma”

We arrived by bus (1 minute walk) and Rosa Maria was outside waiting to greet us. The hospitality at this B&B is outstanding. The area is safe, quiet, and not overrun by tourists. Our room was exactly what we had hoped for based on the description. The value is unbeatable.
What really makes this place special though is that Rosa Maria makes you feel at home and is available to help whenever needed. Grazie mille Rosa Maria! - Jeffrey (Goffredo) & Brittany

My wife and I just returned from a trip to Rome and stayed at the 'Sun Space' at this B&B. I don't usually bother to write reviews but my experience at this location has changed my mind. The location is great, with a 3min walk to the Vatican. Rosa Maria was a great host and did everything possible to make our stay memorable. Her primary concern seemed to be that our stay in Rome was perfect. She helped with directions, tips, arranging for a car when needed, and even provided us a cell phone in case we got into any trouble while out-and-about in Rome. The apartment had more than enough room and was nice & quiet at night. There were good places to eat within steps of the apartment and the convenience was top notch. I would recommend this location to anyone who is visiting Rome.

Due to a family crisis I arrived in Rome by myself instead of with my husband. I was very grateful that Rosa Maria had arranged a driver to pick me up at the airport and she was very helpful with all arrangements. She gave me a map with all relevant bus info and recommended sights to see and restaurants in the neighbourhood. I felt well looked after. They do only take cash but I knew this in advance so it wasn't a problem. Room was very clean, breakfast was ample. The vespas in the street were noisy but if I had taken the time to figure out the air conditioning I could have closed the window. There was a phone in the little lobby which rang Rosa Maria directly and she came right over if you needed her. This place is a five minute walk to St. Peter's Basilica. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. (The bed is quite firm but that seemed to be the only way they came in all the places I stayed in Italy.)

My husband and I stayed in the "Sun Space", a beautiful apartment with a balcony, just steps away from some major bus stops, a beautiful hilltop park, and the Vatican. We could not have been happier with our decision to stay here. Rosa Maria arranged for a car to pick us up at the train station and take us straight to the apartment. She met us there, showed us around the apartment, and told us everything we needed to know about the area. She made us feel very welcome and let us know that if we ever needed anything we could call her- in such a big, unfamiliar city, this made a big difference for us! She was so thoughtful that she also surprised us with a nice bottle of champagne to celebrate our honeymoon. We had an amazing experience in Rome, and thanks to Rosa Maria, we felt at home the whole time!

We dont make a habit of writing accommodation reviews but after our stay with Rosamaria and Mandy at Al Colonnato di San Pietro we had to offer our praises.

Rosamaria met us on arrival outside the premises with the warmest of welcomes , offering a wealth of information about the B&B, sightseeing, best places to eat and the Laundromat. The location is excellent with just a 2 minute walk to the Piazza San Pietro inside the Vatican walls. Dozens of typical bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk and the bus stop just 50 m from the entrance to the B&B..

We had only booked three nights but wished we had stayed more. The room was spotlessly clean ,as was the bathroom and both very tastefully decorated . The breakfast was delightfull , delivered each morning at 8am with fresh (warm) bread rolls and croissants, muffins, toast, crackers, cheeses, jams, a fresh fruit salad compote topped of with the perfect cuppacino or two made by Mandy.

The room and bathroom was relatively small but adequate space with a very homely atmosphere. Our room was on the scond floor with a small elevator if you are unable to take the stairs. On checkout Rosamaria called the driver of our transfer to Amalfi and gave him specific directions to arrive at the B&B and waited with us until our driver arrived, hugging us both on departure. Would we return?.........of course.!!!
A big Thank you to Rosamaria and Mandy for making our stay in Rome just that little extra special.

There just aren't enough words to stay how wonderful our experience was at Al Colonnato di
San Pietro!! Rosa Maria and Meldi are unbelievably sweet and helpful in every way!! They helped us navigate the city and saved us from getting lost many times. :)

The bed and breakfast was so comfortable and the breakfasts, delightful! The location was perfect; accessible to public transportation and within walking distance of St. Peter's square.

They just took care of us and were the perfect hosts. We've learned that the best way to experience Rome (or any city) is to stay at a bed and breakfast!!! (not a hotel) And you won't do better than Al Colonnato di San Pietro. Thank you so much, Rosa Maria....for an amazing experience in bella Roma!! We won't forget you and can't wait for our next visit! :) David and Maria

NCREDIBLE! FANTASTIC! words not enough to describe the B&B “Al Colonnato di San Pietro”...

It's away from the Railway station, which makes it, in our opinion, upmarket, secluded and more stylish. A bit more like a rural bustling city rather than a commercial metropolis.

Rosa Maria's B&B rooms are located very close to St Peters Square, within 200 metres, yet have an oasis of peace and tranquillity one would find in rural Italy, just off from the main hustle and bustle.

This B&B is a visitors delight and we cannot stress enough how the owner Rosa Maria, is a very thoughtful and helpful host. She takes care of everything for your stay. She organised for us a taxi to and from the airport at a far far better rate than the airport taxis... And to be met and greeted at the airport felt so much more special than fighting for an expensive cab.

We felt cosseted from the word go. When we arrived Rosa Maria made us most welcome with a drink. And then she took us through to our room, showing us the facilities, fridge, TV, WI-FI en-suite shower.. etc. We did have a sneak preview of one of the other rooms and it was of the same standard.

It was our 40th Anniversary near the end of our 6 day stay, and Rosa Maria booked for us a very special restaurant and placed a bottle of bubbly in the fridge with silver tray and two champagne flutes, so as we could have a celebratory drink before going out - all at no extra charge. She advised on places to see and the best times to go.

Eating out in Italy can be expensive, yet so close by to Rosa Maria's rooms are 2 or 3 excellent restaurants for dining, at very good prices. In the same side street as the restaurants there is a small shop to buy nick-knacks and bottles of drink, far less than in St Peters Square, 200 metres away.

Now turning to the rooms themselves. SPOTLESS, best describes just how clean and tidy the place is.. We even believe the towels and bed linen were fresh every day and the bed linen seemed to be crisply ironed... every day...!

We had maid service every day for breakfast in our room, and we had a trolley brought to our door every morning bang on time with a vast selection of croissants, bread/rolls, biscuits , cakes and fruit salad, coffee and fruit juices.

The room itself was roomy and high ceilings gave it an airiness, with everything in tip top condition as if almost new... The en-suite shower - toilet even included a bidet, a vast well lit mirror wall and big sink perfect for shaving.. All was fresh and spotless – every day...!
The maid Meldi ( i think is her name) was lovely very friendly and helpful.

At the end of our stay Rosa Maria stored our luggage till we were ready for our evening flight, and she organised for us the taxi to pick up – so we left in style and comfort all the way to the airport.. no hassle just a smooth departure..

We really enjoyed our stay so much so we'll not only recommend to our friends but would go back again ..

Rosa Maria – we have never stayed in such a welcoming and friendly hotel or B& B... Keep up what you are doing – It's GREAT! A big THANK YOU for EVERYTHING!...
