“Right in the heart of everything!”

Marina, the owner, met us at the apartment and was a pure joy to meet. We were a party of 6 (extended family) visiting Italy for the first time to visit our daughter studying abroad in Florence. We stayed in apartments in Florence and Venice prior to our stay in Rome. This was, by far, the best arrangement of the trip! Marina had fully stocked the kitchen with snacks, milk, juice and even a bottle of vino! Other places had left a two pack of yogurt or some crackers and called it a day! The location of the apartment was fantastic! You can walk to Trevi, the Colloseum, Vatican, Pantheon, etc, in less than 20 minutes. If you want to use a taxi, there is a taxi stand a mere 1/2 block away. The grocery store is next door and the Pharmacia is on the ground floor. Traffic noise is loud if you open the windows, but that's what you would expect in the heart the city! Any questions we had - including restaurant suggestions, where to go for Mass, suggestions for transportation to the airport - were quickly answered via email (almost immediate response) over the reliable WiFi in the apartment. Marina shared that her father owned the apartment and also had a photography studio - the apartment is decorated with some antique photo equipment as well as old family photos. This was a nice touch that made the apartment feel very homey. If we are lucky enough to return to Rome, I would definitely try and rent this apartment again!

“A great alternative to hotels in Rome.”

Suite Argentina is a large apartment 1/2 block from Largo Argentina and is as central to old Rome and access to transportation as you can get. It is offered as 2 suites or opened as a large single suite, which is how we enjoyed our stay as that provided 2 baths for our party of 4 seniors. The apartment has been in the family that owns it for several generations and has been lovingly restored with what appears to be new bedding, remodeled baths, and new flooring. It is furnished with a nice mix of modern and traditional furniture. It was once a photo studio and the walls are lined with lovely old photos and lithos. The apartment also is furnished with some lovely antiques giving it a very homey feel. Many staples such as coffee, pastries, biscuits, juices, milks, etc. were left for our convenience, as well as some wines, beers and mixers. It is located next to a small supermarket, and plenty of cutlery and utensils were available should you care to cook or eat in. It is exactly as pictured so you can feel comfortable in renting. The owner also offered a recommendation for car service that was efficient and less expensive than taxis. We e-mailed our arrival time and were greeted at the door on arrival. All responses to e-mails were promptly answered. There is no lift, and there are about 20 stairs to reach the apartment(s). You will not be disappointed.

“Strategically located historic apartment with lovely owners”

We stayed at Suite Argentina for 3 nights; the apartment is located in a historic building in a lateral alley just 5 mins walk from Palazzo Venezia, 10-15 mins walk from Trastevere, the Vatican and the Trevi Fountain. Amazing location. The owner of the apartment was lovely, they really took care of us. I would really recommend the place to anyone who is looking for a warm welcome in Rome and to have a handy homebase for their trips.
