We stayed in four different hotels over the course of our 10 day trip to Italy and this was by far our favorite. The location is absolutely perfect for proximity to sightseeing while also staying away from the noise and congestion of the city center. The beautiful cobblestone streets where Hotel Manfredi is located are safe and provide ample opportunities for upscale shopping and/or dining. The rooms are on the smaller side, but the same is true for many rooms in Rome (or Europe, in general). We initially booked a family room (for 4 persons) but on arrival were told there was a problem with that room. Instead, they had arranged 2 separate rooms for us across the hall from each other for the same price. This actually worked out great for us as it allowed us access to two separate bathrooms and provided more overall room for our family. Moreover, it allowed us to see two separate rooms. While one was larger than the other, both were of adequate size. And both were beautifully decorated with old world charm. Beds were comfortable. While also small, my kids loved the showers with the multiple nozzles/settings.

The breakfast spread each morning was amazing. We definitely felt spoiled with all the options.

The hotel also provides smart phones available for use within Rome. This was great at helping us navigate the city and contact each other without having to use our own cellular plan.

The best part of this hotel, however, is the amazing service. Everyone we encountered was so warm, inviting and helpful. When we arrived at 11 am from the airport, we were welcomed in and although breakfast was already done, we were presented with a tray of croissants and fresh baked pastries along with fresh coffees/cappuccinos/juices. It was just what we needed after a long overnight flight. And although only one of the rooms was ready at that early hour, we were able to check in and get settled. The same level of service was present throughout our stay.

I would absolutely stay at Hotel Manfredi again and will recommend it to any friends/family traveling to Rome.

My bad, I did book the small room so my experience differs from others. Knowing we were only staying one night prior to our cruise, I decided to book the cheapest room. Well when they say "small room" they truly mean that. To get to the hotel you take an old birdcage elevator, since the hotel is not on the ground floor.

Our room was hysterical, my husband and I had to literally jump over the bed to get to the other side, I have never been so cramped. If you suffer from claustrophobia you probably wouldn't be able to stay in this room. The bathroom was no better, I don't even know how I showered. I also have to say the bed and pillows were rock hard, I felt like I was sleeping on a hard cot all night. I'm sure all the other reviews are from people who booked larger rooms or suites so I cannot comment on that.

It does have going for it a great location, we walked everywhere and had no problem finding our way back to the hotel at night.

Dear Guest,

Thanks you for your review.
Via Margutta, the way where we are, is one of the most quiet and romantic way of the city.
We have an ancient entrance and an ancient elevator because we are inside an historyc palace of the city that during the seventeeth century was a theatre, the Alibert theatre.
The hotel has differents kind of rooms so there are different size and prices more expensive for rooms bigger.

Best regards,
Giovanni Argentina,
Hotel Manfredi

We stayed one night at Hotel Manfredi after having spent the previous two nights in Venice. This was a short stay as we were getting on a cruise the next morning. Seemed like a nice enough place, in a centralized location. However our room was no bigger than a postage stamp, with literally no room for our suitcases to fit. It was incredibly tight. If I had to stay in this hotel for longer than one night I'd insist upon a room with more space.

The hotel Manfredi has a big choose of rooms also small and is write exactly on this kind of room at the booking time, we are sorry because you did not like our small room, maybe the next time we can accord for a bigger room.

We (3 adults) stayed for two nights in a suite ... nice size for three people. The taxi from Termini is about 12 Euros. It's located near the Spanish Steps.

As we opened the door, Emanuele (main desk) couldn't have been nicer. Not only did he personally walk us to our room, but he also inquired about our stay. Once he had an idea of our plans, he talked us through a map. He told us what to expect with taxi drivers. Though, what I appreciated most ... he gave us his card and said if we were in any situation where he could help, we should call him.

That evening we had a small issue with some drips from the air conditioner. David (main desk at night) worked to make sure we were taken care of immediately. We had the option of choosing a new room; we, instead, decided to wait until it was fixed - which was taken care of while we were at breakfast that next Monday morning.

The complimentary breakfast is excellent, and the wait staff is incredibly accommodating. I definitely recommend Hotel Manfredi.

Our Suite and Junior suite are perfect for a family of three or four people, you couldn't choose of better.
Our position is one of the best to visit the city because we are in a small quiet street but near everything, restaurants, monuments and shop.

Stayed a night after our cruise, staff could not have been more helpful for dinner reservations, taxi service, etc. full bar and great breakfast, don't miss the home made yogurt. Very hard to find but well worth it.

Room tip: Room styles vary a lot.
