We decided our second family reunion would be in Rome. Last year we did Barcelona and had a great experience staying in an apartment. So I was anxious to repeat it this year. It's overwhelming with so many to choose from in different areas of the city, but we decided on A Casa Mia at Home for the location. Dealing with Raffaella, and Clara was good. Emails answered promptly and a limo was arranged to pick us up at the airport on arrival. Everything went smoothly and we were met at the apartment by Massimo.
The location - a stones throw from the Vatican is great. We were 4 family members and all wanted our own bed , which we got.
There are 2 cafe / bakeries right at the entrance to the apartment complex. Perfect for morning croissants.
The apartment is in a gated complex and felt very safe and secure. Walking to the Vatican took just 5 minutes.
Massimo gave us great tips on restaurants and gelato places and we tried a few and were happy.
The apartment is very well equipped and had good comfy beds and linens.
We spent 4 nights here and managed to see a lot. Rome is not a large city so you can walk to a lot of the sights if you are fairly fit. We also got a 48 hour open top bus pass so we did hop in and off that a few times.
We were 5 adults but needed 3 seperate bedrooms. The appartment easily catered for this. The appartment was well furnished , clean and comfortable and only 5 minutes from Peters and a metro station. We were met promptly by the owners and the booking was problem free. The price was excellent for the standard of accomadation and location
I would strongly recommend this apartment to anybody visiting Rome.
