“In the center of everything. A true home. Indescribably amazing.”
Reviewed April 11, 2013 for a stay in February 2013

So, if you'd like to be steps from the Vatican, shopping, food and the best nightlife in Rome, as well as walking distance to everything else you could want - this is your spot.

The apartment itself is stunning, and is seconded only by its location and rural feel while still being in the center of everything.

Vatican - 10 minute walk.
Crazy nightlife - 5 - 10 minute walk.
Pantheon - 15 minute walk.
Shopping - 10-30 minute walk (there's 10 diff. places to head, in all directions).
Food - 2 to 20 minute walk to 4 and 5 star spots in every direction.

And by walk I mean a leisurely stroll down the cobble stoned streets of Rome. No speed walking. Just cruising, looking and enjoying.

Pro-tip - Ask the apartment manager to arrange your ride from the Airport. It's Rome, and trust me - you don't want to get their on your own. Same for the ride back to airport. Once there thought - it's 100% walking - and worth every minute.

Liked best: The comfort of the apartment. I felt like I was coming home every day. Really.
Liked least: Nothing stands out. Kitchen is small (e.g. Closet sized), but it's a studio. Only slept there anyway.

I am so glad that you liked our Roman "Pied à Terre". It is indeed very special to be 5 minutes from Piazza Navona, and then just cross the river over a beautiful bridge to be at the Castle San Angelo and the Vatican. I hope that you will return. Thank you for writing.

“Great apartment, excellent location”
Reviewed January 8, 2013 for a stay in January 2013

The apartment is extremely well designed for a couple or small family. The main room is relatively spacious, comprising double bed, seating area and a big dining table (there is a further fold-down bed in one cupboard, but as a couple we didn't need it). The kitchenette, inside a cupboard in the hallway, is small but well equipped (double hob, microwave, dish washer). Very useful for breakfasts and small meals, but cooking anything more ambitious than that might be a challenge. The bathroom is also cleverly tucked away into a recess in one of the walls. Again, it is small, but well designed and ample for a couple.

The main draw, however, is the location, right at the heart of the Old Rome district. Nearly all the major tourist sites are within 20-25 minutes' walking distance (and make sure you visit Gelateria del Teatro, one of the best in Rome, which is literally just around the corner). Although the streets around the apartment are relatively quiet, do be warned that as the it is on the ground floor, any noise from outside is very audible: street cleaners, barking dogs, and people talking outside are likely to disturb light sleepers.

Susan, the manager, was incredibly helpful during the booking process and, by email, throughout our stay. She also provided any extremely comprehensive set of instructions for the apartment and advice about Rome.

I am glad that you appreciated the apartment and the neighborhood. As far as its position, it is not really on the ground , it is on the mezzanine level up a flight of 10 steps. If you have the windows open , you do hear the talk of Romans chatting in the Piazza outside, but for me and many, this is one of the things that makes Rome, Rome; its part of the experience. Besides, it is a limited number of hours a day, and generally not sleeping hours. Also if the windows are shut or if the Air-conditioning is on, its pretty silent. You can choose to shut out the atmosphere or soak it in! All best wishes for the New Year. Come back to Rome soon.
