Owner description: We organize Cooking Classes in Rome, and Cooking Classes, Wine and Oil tasting in Umbria. In the cooking lesson, all the ingredients come directly from the producers, we do not use commercial food, and we tell our "students" the history of the ingredients and producers. Our idea comes from a great passion in researching high quality products of the Italian cusine by visiting and talking to producers all over the Country. Our greatest desire is now to share the traditions of our Country with visitors: by telling them, but particularly by actually living the experience making tourists immerse themselves as much as possible in the true Italian daily life and in a family environment. An experience that people can bring home in their "personal baggage"!

“A great day!”
Reviewed June 20, 2014

A great experience and one of our best days in Rome! Me and my girlfriend had a private class at their home outside Rome. We got picked up at our rented apartment (quite a bit from the usual pickup place) by Annas man Marco, and they were all very nice! Had a long day where we tasted olive oils, cooked bread, pasta, sauces and tiramisu.. and had a long lunch eating all the things we cooked and drinking great wine. Lots of fun and interesting exchanges. We definitely recommend this when you are visiting Rome!

Spicy Italian Life was much more than an "attraction", it was an experience. “Not to be missed!”
Reviewed June 14, 2014

Alessandra and Anna and Marco are great! From picking us up from the subway station to bringing us to their parents' beautiful house to the cooking and the learning, and of course, the laughs, the four of us had a blast! It's great to learn about an Italian family's daily lives and their beliefs and philosophy on food. We had so much fun learning how to cook. We are so proud to have learned how to make gnocchi and pasta from scratch! The olive oil tasting was for sure very interesting. The end products are superb! We were all so full after the feast! Thank you again for the wonderful and unforgettable experience!

What an incredible experience! The absolute highlight of our trip to Rome. They treat you like family, fill you to the brim with delicious food, and teach you step by step how to make traditional Italian favorites. The house was beautiful, the conversation was fantastic, we really didnt want to leave! We learned so much about Italian culture, food, life, and ingredients. They even picked us up from the train station and dropped us off which was incredibly convenient. What an amazing day, we would do it a million more times, and would absolutely recommend this for everyone and all ages. Thank you Alexandra, Anna, and Marco!

“SpicyItalianLife Cooking Class”
Reviewed April 9, 2014

Our family of 4 booked our cooking class due to the good comments online. Anna, Alexandra, and Marco exceeded any good comments we read! They are now considered family to us and are welcome to our US home anytime! My sons, ages 18 and 15, learned so much about cooking and we all walked away with more knowledge of food ingredients and olive oil and how to eat healthier. Their home is lovely, the transfer perfect, in fact Marco went way above what we expected on our back to the metro. Their English is great which made us so comfortable in learning and our conversations more bonding. If you want to add a fun, exciting, and relaxing experience to your Italy vacation taking their cooking class with definitely be your favorite memory because it is ours! Thank you so much Spicy Italian Life!!!! We miss you all!!!
