“Amazing atmospheric apartment”

We booked the apartment after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and weren't disappointed, it was all we could have wished for and more!
Antonio dealt with all the admin and Claudia his cousin met us at the apartment, showed us around and organised taxis from the airport to the apartment and the return journey at an incredibly reasonable price.
The apartment is an incredibly old building so there is a spiral staircase with marble stairs to climb. We are both fairly unfit 50 somethings so while this wasn't a problem it was hard work getting suitcases up and down the stairs and not what we wanted after walking around Rome for several hours.
The stairs however are only a small niggle, the apartment is spacious and homely, the ceilings are exposed ancient tiles, supported by old beams. The bed was incredibly comfortable, Claudia worried we may be cold and asked us to ring her for extra blankets if we needed them.
There are two sofas in the living room, one of them converted to a comfortable double sofa bed for our 14 year old daughter. The kitchen has a cooker, kettle, fridge freezer and toaster. It was nice to be able to make breakfast each morning or to have a couple of bottles of wine cooling in the fridge. Everything you may need is provided, there is even a hairdryer, curling tongs and straighteners!
The square (Piazza San Rufina) is fairly quiet, there are two bars, one which opens after 4.00pm and two restaurants but very little noise, we loved throwing open the shutters in the morning and watching locals going to work or walking their dogs.
There are some excellent restaurants all within a 5 min walk and an amazing ice cream shop (Fior Da Luna) literally 1 min around the corner .
We walked to Campo di Fiori in about 15 minutes and to the Vatican (following the river) in 30 mins.
thank you to Antonio and especially Claudia who is lovely and a pleasure to meet, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay at San Ruffina again.

“Wonderful and charming apartment I in Trastevere.”

This was an absolutely adorable flat in an ideal location. It is bright, airy and oozes Old World charm and character, yet has modern updates. The photos do not begin to give it justice. Every amenity was provided. We easily walked to the Forum and Vatican attractions and the Jewish Ghetto is right across the river. Claudia (our host) gave us a thorough tour of the apartment and made sure we could reach her for any issues, which were none. The only problem we had was choosing where to eat! There is block after block of bars, restaurants and shops. We loved our stay here!

“Excellent accomodation”

A really nice and cosy apartment in the centre of Rome. Campidoglio, Palatino and Vaticano are only a 15 to 20 min walk away. There are also tram and bus stations nearby. You can find groceries, bakeries etc. as well as a host of bars, cafés and restaurants just around the corner. Yet the apartment is quiet and comfortably furnished. It's also sufficiently equipped for a longer stay. We'll be happy to visit again.

Antonio and Claudia were excellent. Respond quickly to questions. Clean and plenty of room. Fantastic location!!! Walking distance to everything. On the third floor with no elevator. I would highly recommend this place.

“So convenient to Rome”

We were a couple in our late 50s. There are 52 steps up to the apartment but that didn't bother us. 25 min beautiful walk along the river Tiber to the Vatican Museum. 20 min across the famous bridges and island to the Roman Forum and Capitoline Museums. Add another 10 mins to the Colosseum. Bakeries, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants all around the neighborhood. We spent 4 days, walked 5-6 hours per day. No need to use buses, trams or metro. Loved it. Perfect hosts couldn't help us enough. We'll be back!

Claudia as planned was there to meet and show us around this lovely apartment. She was very welcoming, spoke good English and was very helpful in getting us settled. What a bonus to have breakfast ingredients supplied free of charge (enough for a few days - very generous). The apartment has everything needed for comfortable living while in Rome. There are plenty of rooms to spread out into and the main rooms are all large with lots of natural and artificial light. Comfortable couches to relax into after a day exploring and a good sized comfortable bed. A wonderful location right in the heart of Trastevere. First time we have stayed in this part of Rome - wonderful area full of places to eat, see and do and extremely close to other major Rome attractions all of which we got to on foot. We had a wonderful Rome holiday in this fantastic apartment and will definitely stay here again when we next visit Rome. Thank you Claudia!

“Excellent location living among Romans!”

We had a warm welcome from Claudia who showed us around the appartment and had left some coffee, croissants for us! The appartment was just great. The rooms were airy and clean. We loved the feel of being in an old but renovated place in the heart of Rome. We were close to many cafes, shops, market to buy fresh fruits. Walked to many sites. The only negative aspect was that it was located on the third floor and the steps were quite high. If you have knee problems it can be a little difficult. Otherwise we felt very safe in the neighbourhood. We only wished that we had stayed longer!
