This is a classic Roman restaurant, serving traditional Roman fare; though polite and friendly, not pandering to tourists. They are not going to change the style of cooking or serving to please the crowds. Though always busy, they never seem stressed or hassled, and always have time for a chat.
Expect simple, delicious Roman dishes,(especially fish) and a lively Italian atmosphere.
I have never seen a menu here, I just take the advice of the server, (usually the owner or his son) who tell me what they made that day, and trust them to guide me to the right combination of first and second plate.
Hard to pass up a Roman artichoke as a side dish and some lemoncello after dinner.
You have to book! Menu changes every day. cash only, closed Mondays.
About 40 euro per person with wine.
