“Great location, very good room.”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

Located in a quiet street, about 50 metres from the Tiber, and a 10 minute walk from the Vatican, this is a really good find.
Castel Sant'Angelo Inn has only 4 rooms, converted from a 3rd floor apartment in a tall residential building, with a wonderful old lift.
The room was excellent, with a good double bed, modern en suite shower room, aircon, TV and free wi-fi.
Stefano was very helpful, recommended a very good local restaurant and arranged taxis for us when we were going to the airport.
We were able to walk to the Vatican, Spanish Steps, Fontana di Trevi, Via Condotti and the Pantheon easily, and the Colosseum was also within walking distance.

Our stay at Castel Sant' Angelo Inn was perfect!!!! Very clean rooms fully equipped with air condition, mini bar. Breakfast was better than it was supposed to be (served in the room!!!) The owner was very friendly and he helped us too much!!! The hotel is located in the center of Rome very close to important monuments and Piazzas. Vatican city, Piazza Navonna, Di spagna, del Popolo Villa Borgese and Castel Sant Angelo are very close(about 5-15 min maximum walk distance).Of course i would recommend this B&B to everyone. And next time i would go there as well!!!

We stayed for 4 nights at this B&B. Everything was great. The rooms were modern and quiet and also cleaned every day. It was 10 minute by feet from St. Piero and Vatican, and also from Piazza Navona, Piazza del Popolo, Spagna etc so we did not used any means of transport. The staff was excellent. Maybe the breakfast could have more choices but everything was great.

The Inn is well placed with easy acces to all the tourist destinations. We walked across the bridge and were at the colosseum withing 25 min. (Less to the Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps and the Piazza Novona). And 5-10 min in the other direction we arrived at the Vatican City.

The rooms are clean and comfortable but by American standards quite small. Image about 4 feet of space all around the "double"bed and that's about what you get. The bed was the usual 2 single beds pushed together to make a "double". But a nice "memory foam" topper made it very comfortable. The bathroom was about four feet across and 10-12 feet long. It's a tight fit but workable. It also had a small wardrobe with a safe inside, a mini fridge and desk. It also had a working air conditioner :)

Breakfast was included in the price. However, it was only provided at 8:30am. We were usually up and out before that and no offer was made to accommodate any other way, which we found very disappointing. When you are dealing with tourists who may be on different times zones/sleeping schedules etc it may have been better to arrange a "voucher" to get a small breakfast close by. This was one of the few negatives. Luckily, there was an excellent bakery just around the corner for morning pastries, coffee etc

Stefano, the host was personable and professional. He offered recommendations, a small map and suggestions for restaurants.

The Inn is the 3rd floor of a residential building. The hallways were concrete/hard surface and there was considerable echo. Added to he heavy doors slamming and residential chatter, we found it to be a bit loud and noisy. For this reason, it may not be a good choice for the light sleeper. It also could use some "black-out" blinds for the windows. A little too bright when the jet-lagged guest is trying to squeeze in a bit of a nap before heading out for the evening etc.

Another issue - keys. We were given one set only. This is great if you do everything together. However, if you want to separate your party then you must arrange to meet etc.. They either need to make second sets available for each guest or create a way to buzz the rooms so that you can be let in.

The best thing about this hotel is the service! Stefano is quick to answer queries, provides great restaurant recommendations and accommodates requests. We had to leave early so they left breakfast (a full one sans the coffee--croissants, biscuits, jam, yogurt, juice) in the fridge in the room. The room was large and very clean. We could not get our bearings in Piazza Cavour when we first arrived, so to help you -from the corner in which there is a police station, walk along the building which the statue faces and Via Vittorio Colonna (the street the b&b is off of) is diagonal at the corner. It's very easy once you find it the first time! There are bus stops right around the corner. Room looked exactly like picture. Would definitely recommend to others and stay again myself when next in Rome!

A charming building in the middle of Prati with a perfect location.

The building is a stunning property, the rooms are modern, extremely clean and good facilities. Breakfast is just right (Cereals/pastry/yoghurt etc).

Excellent service from the staff; always available and by mobile.

Good value for money.

Comfortable beds.

Location; the places we liked to be was central rome ( the pantheon, piazza navona etc), this was around 12 mins walk away - but the walk is beautiful. Ancient rome is probably 25/30 minutes with the Colosseum and forum; but plenty to do/see on the way there.

We were very pleased with our choice of hotel! 100% use again.

This place made our visit to Rome VERY special!

From the welcome and special treat to the service, amenities, location...all aspects of our three day stay here were perfect.

The B&B is located in a very lovely building in a convenient location. Once inside, the decor is very modern and exceptionally clean. Great shower facilities, new air conditioning, and a very comfortable bed. Top notch for comfort in all respects.

The service was beyond even the standards of what I expect as Platinum member on a 5 star hotel chain that I use for my business travels. Friendly and personable, excellent information on local places to eat at and visit.

I highly recommend staying here!!!!!!
