Came on a boys rugby trip for the Welsh game. It was getting to that time of the night where everybody was in a drunken haze and I was getting bored after 6 hours in Shamrock. I tools stroll just down the street and attracted bh the bar maids I went inside to find 2 other favourite things a good selection of fine whisky and beer. Very busy, small place lits of locals. Called friends over and went there again following night. So nice when bar staff shake your hand on return.

So much potential but service is sub-par and do not eat here. (save for maybe the beer nuts)
The beer selection is what brought us into this establishment; it is amazing for almost any pub let alone one in Italy, a land of wine. The scotch selection keeps pace: thorough yet with enough unique expresions to satisfy more experienced drinkers. We thought we had found a hidden gem. Our excitement lasted only through ordering. 2 of the beers were foamy - not 'two fingers good pour' foamy, but the need to pour multiple times to fill the glass, and the issue was occuring with many taps. The service was lacking. I ordered a beer they were out of, was told they were out, and then the sever walked away. No alternate suggestion or even asking if i would like something else. My friend ordered a combo meal- plate and beer, we had to ask for the beer three times and it finally came when we were finished our meals. The food as well was terrible, simple pub food done poorly. Slow roasted pork shank that was so dry it had to be pried off the bone (I wish this was an exaggeration but it isn't), hamburger that was just, well, bad - like a crummy fast food burger. If you expect a burger to taste like beef do not order this. And don't bother with the Tex Mex; save that for your next trip to Texas.
So. Great beer served somewhat disappointingly. Disinterested service. Poor food.

Lovely little pub that has an amazing selection of beer on draught and in bottles. During my vist they had brew dog 5am, punk and trashy blond, two American beers that I never bothered with, Trappist beers, and a few other belgian offerings.

Open from 6 to 2 and free nibbles from 6 to 9. It never got busy but be warned, they only sell beer and whiskey - and they have plenty off it - so don't expect cocktails or red bull. The bar staff are very friendly and will let you taste the beer before you buy. Average price is around €5 but this is strong stuff, some being 10% and more. If you like your beer though, this is the place to come. Bar area is the best place to sit but they have tables as well. Room wasn't too hot and music was generally 70s and 80s rock - ozzy, Metallica, ac/dc, etc.

We went there on almost every night of our stay as the beer was so tasty. This place is a great little find worth seeking out.
