“Excellent italian in Rome”
Reviewed May 22, 2014 via mobile

A friend took us here and we were amazed. Restaurant is run by a japenese family and they cook excellent italian food with japenese signature. Restaurant is hiddenband very undervalued. I was surprised that only 2 tables were booked out of 10. Apart from the regular menu they have daily special menu that shouldnt be missed. Prices are moderate and optimal. Hand made orange liquior is a must try at the end of the dinner. Strongly recommmend.

“Polite dish, I feel.”
Reviewed April 10, 2014

The first Foccaccia home mada reminds me a feeling such as "Omotenashi" full of hospitality. All dish, from Kobe beef carpaccio to Zuppa di pesce for a main course and dessert chocolate tarte, by chef's experienced skill with his heart. Kindness, politeness, carefully ... you may find in every moment. It is hardly ever touched in a big city downtown. The chef is from Japan. This area is Trastevere in Rome. And this is a Trattoria roman style. I appreciate this great challenge and confirmed he did it.

“It has it all: Terrific food, sweet service, and honest value!”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

This gem would be a shame to miss if you are interested in wonderful Roman-style dishes capturing the essence of fresh, local ingredients, all offered at very fair prices. It might seem odd that the chef is Japanese, but it is a blessing because he builds on both traditions, never losing the Italian core, but adding a light touch: white asparagus with a light white freshly shaved summer truffles sauce, squid-ink pasta with a delicate seafood ragu, tempura-style fried calimari. After a week of eating in more famous and aclaimed restaurants with startlingly high prices, Pacioccne, as it's name suggests, was "easy going" pleasure, pure & simple.

“One of the best italian restaurant in rome”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

Some italian restaurants in Rome are so expensive in spite of not good. However this restaurant is very good and reasonable price. The chef is Japanese, but he understands Italian foods and tries the fusion Japanese and Italian. The access to go to this restaurant is easy from center of rome. If you use No,8 tram from Piazza venezia, the new starting station of No,8 tram, you can reach there in 15 min throught the Trastevere zone.

“Just good food - recommended”
Reviewed May 19, 2013 via mobile

One of the gems you can find via TripAdvisor. We stayed nearby and found this with help of the app, otherwise we would not have stumbled upon it. Had the menu of the day, very good, would have returned if we stayed longer.
