Everything was great. Good location near bus and metro station and many restaurants near it. Clean rooms and good service despite rooms were a bit small. Near to some attractions and shops.
We are very satisfy.

The hotel is not very easy to find at first because it shares an entrance with three other hotels. I also suggest one person at the time in the lift if you have luggage!

Check in was excellent and reception were very helpful. The room was not huge but comfortable and basic. The bathroom was lovely.

The hotel is a short walk from Termini and also within walking distance of other attractions.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced, clean hotel near all the amenities in Rome, then you won't be disappointed with the Demetra.

We stayed there 4 nights (august 17-21th) ... this hotel has been booked and prepaid months ago... and... we were ... very disappointed !!
Nice location in fact ... near Termini station (5 min. walk).

BUT ....
Entrance is not easy to find since there is three hotels at the same address and the main sign is at the street corner. We (suppose) were also unlucky since the hotel was overbook that week and there was an alleged problem with the bathroom of the room we were supposed to have....
So ... we've been moved to another room for the first night ...
and it was in fact ... a single room ! The hotel is freshly renovated and the decoration is modern .. BUT ... it is not anough to be " a 4 * hotel" in our expectations....

Rooms are pretty small, we had mildew in the jaccuzi / shower, A/C is shut down when you leave the room (and one day, they leaved the windows opened all day long by 36°C). The toilets seats are effectively very discomfortable (as described in another review). Our room was also a little bit noisy (floating ceiling in the bathroom and main doors of the rooms on the same floor were ajusted to close firmly...).

Breakfast area is very (too) small and can not accomodate all the clients properly. You have to share your table with other clients, we have to ask to get food put in the empty stations since the staff was surcharged. The service at breakfast was in fact very poor ( no smile / no welcoming / we have to ask repeatedly to have coffee). On the other hand, Staff at the reception was friendly and the private transfer to the airport was well organised.

if you like confort and have a "4**** expectations" ............. we're not sure it is the place ...
If you like a modern renovated hotel with a nice location ... and it's what is important...
this hotel is perhaps for you !

We had no idea which hotel to choose as there are so many. So based on reviews and location we chose this one and without disappointment. It was perfectly located next to the Termini, a very short and direct walk over the cobblestone. Included in the rate is a nice breakfast with even hot options with eggs and bacon but you don't want to be late as although they say open till 10am they actually start breaking down at 9:30 but that was the least of our concerns. A proper coffee can be ordered as well! The staff were exceptional and willing to help in any way. They have locked baggage storage which is a great free bonus. Free wi-fi was reliable and easy, the rooms are super clean and size was not big but not too tight either. If you want old world Roman then this is prob not for you but if you want modern, clean, newish, friendly then pick this one. Another bonus for summer is sound proof rooms and strong aircon. You can't go wrong. When you get here look for the stairs for entry as there are two other hotels in the building. Termini provides such an easy ride to Vatican City and the Colleseum. Free tip, make sure you buy those event tickets in advance, the cues can be very long in the heat. This save us a ton of time!! You will love it here!

The Demetra hotel is conveniently located 5minutes from Rome Termini station and about 15 minutes walk to major sites, the breakfast area is very nice and the staff all around the hotel were brilliant to us. I would however avoid the Bus tour the hotel promotes to you with Ciao Roma as we felt it was wasted money.

10 years ago I lived in Rome therefore I always choose a hotel nearby Termini station. Normally these hotels aren't that perfect, but they are centrally located. Hotel Demetra is an exception. It is centrally located, very clean, has nice staff and a good price for the quality they offer. Breakfast would be for the one perfect and for the other maybe not good enough, but in my opinion they have everything you need for breakfast; yoghurt, cereals, fruit, cheese, ham, eggs, bacon, nice bread and sweets.
In short I would highly recommend to choose this hotel!

Stayed here for honeymoon, quick walk to hotel from termini station, 8euro in taxi, (couldn't find it the first day) really nice staff, they brought a bottle of champagne to room as we told them it was our honeymoon, helped us out with directions and ordering taxies, really nice room and great bathroom, beds were nice and firm also, there are some lovely pizzerias close by and you can get to most major attractions using the metro at the termini. We would go back to this hotel again, full marks all round :) travelling is tough so its great when you go into a hotel and they are friendly, professional and helpful :)
