“An intimate gem of a location!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 21, 2013

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Relais Badoer! It is an intimate hotel (only 6 guest rooms), in the heart of the Centro Storico, with all of the main tourist sites with in easy walking distance. The hotel itself is on the top floor of an old building, with an amazing roof terrace that over looks a beautiful historical site. It was small and personal. The staff were brilliant- both Antonio and Dario were helpful and accommodating, they did their best to ensure that our stay was perfect, arranging taxis, booking tickets and recommending great restaurants! We had a corner room with balcony and the view was brilliant! I can not recommend this hotel highly enough! Thank you for making our stay wonderful!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony!!!

We chose this hotel because the reviews were nice.
But our rooom was so small , we couldn't moving at all, even we are
When we were booking the hotel nobody told us about the shower inside .
That takes space of this very small room. When i took a shower i had to closed the shutters , because anybody outside could see me.
This room is not for two people, even for one there isn't any space .
But it is cost 250 euro per night.
Also the situation of this hotel is on a very noisy street. When you close the window you haven't enough air ,because the room is so small , and the weak air-conditioner too.

We stayed 1 night for a special birthday and this was the perfect place. With a stunning terrace perfect for watching the sunset with the bottle of Prosecco that we found in the fridge, we had a brilliant time. The breakfast was a bit thin though especially for the price - we had to supplement

Great service & very friendly staff, 2x hot tubs on roof terrace with lovely view, complimentary Bottle of Prosecco in the room, modern furniture, cute little balcony off room, excellent "rain" shower, perfect central location for Colloseum/Piazza Navona/Vatican etc... Double glazing blocked all noise from busy street below :). The staff recommended two excellent restaurants for us and made the reservations on our behalf. They even went across the road to buy an ice bucket and ice for our free Prosecco, outstanding service!
Room was quite small but to be expected in Rome perhaps, breakfast was limited (nothing cooked)
Overall I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Rome looking for that personal touch.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a larger balcony, great place to chill in the evening after a hard day sight-see...

First of all, as said in the category, this is a kind of B&B place and not a typical hotel. The location is perfect, everything is in walking distance and for those who prefer sightseing by walking, will love it. The 2 jakuzzis on the roof are also very good and useful, if the weather is a bit hectic and you have rain/ snow. But don't expect any extra towel, slippers or robe to be prepared in the room... This is B&B, but a luxury one.
The roof itself is wonderfully furbished and established, you an have your breakfast there with a magic view, and this is priceless!!! If you start your vacation in sunshine, on the roof with your coffee/ tea, then you have a great day, trust me. It brings so much joy and happiness. However, the breakfast is very poor, there is no meat, no egg, no fruit, no vegetables... Remember: B&B...
The staff is very kind and helpful, the heating in case you would need it works well (it can be an issue in case of old houses like this one), but truly and honestly, this place is expensive in my opinion and those who prefer standard and typical hotel service (including a wide variety of breakfast choices), should avoid to come here, because they will be unsatisfied...
take care, the rooms are just from the corridor where the "reception" (a desk) is, so if new guests arrive, then you will hear them just like they would be in your room...

Had a marvellous stay in this Hotel. Central, fantastic location, spotless and extremely friendly. We loved it !!!!!!!!! - nearly all of the wonderful sites to see were in a mile radius. Thank you for helping to make Rome perfect.

We were lucky to find Relais Badoer on a last-minute trip to Rome. We were especially impressed by the care Antonio and his staff took to ensure that we were able to access the place (it's tricky by car because it's located within the ZTL), find trusted parking, reserve great restaurants, and generally guide us to a fabulous trip in Rome. The rooms are quite stylish with nice bathroom facilities, and it's a nice option to be able to eat on the terrace overlooking the rooftops of Rome, as well as the site where Julius Caesar was presumably assassinated. My only gripe was that the wifi access was spotty in the room -- sometimes strong signal, but sometimes in the mornings there was no signal.

Highly recommend Relais Badoer to anyone wanting to experience the best Rome has to offer.
