“A wonderful stay at Colours of Rome”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

We booked the "Red Room" in May 2012. The place was freshly renovated, very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was served daily and it was always fresh. The location of this cozy B&B was amazing! 10 minutes to the Vatican City, which we could see from the window in our room. Checking in and out went as smooth as it could. There are plenty of take out places nearby as well as some of the main attractions, which are within a walking distance.
Overall, a great place to stay with a very affordable price.
Can't wait to go back!!!

Room Tip: Red room is great for couples - One queen size bed Green and blue rooms are for families - 2 - 3 si...

We were given the green room which had 3 single beds.we opted to have the private toilet..this toilet was outside our room-to make it private, we were the only ones given a key to it.i wished it were inside the room though, makes life so much easier.
This is a modern, extremely clean three bedroom bed and breakfast with two toilets that are located outside the rooms.it has a fully functional kitchen..coffee maker, ref, stovetop, etc.and a round dining table that guests can share or wait for their turn to use.
the design is spare, modern but warm.size is good sized, not a concern.ventilation is very good.our room has a sliding glass door that leads to a little balcony overlooking the road. But, there was no problem with noise from the road.our room was cleaned daily.airconditioner, hot water, wifi all provided for.
The mother and daughter team is extremely warm, generous with their knowledge, time and service. Their cereal cookie is a winner.since We had to leave really early on our last day, they even left cookies ,pastries, and coffee for us the night before..since we had to leave before they arrive the next day and would miss breakfast.
They arranged for our transfer from the train station upon arrival from Florence.also our airport transfer on our last day.rates were really good, maybe just like a taxi fare or a just bit higher. The drivers for the transfers were also really pleasant.for weary travelers like we were, the transfers were so worth it!
There's a bus stop just a few meters away. You can take a bus from this point and get dropped off near the forum and coliseum.
Do not walk to the Vatican from here though.it was what we did..it was quite a walk on that hot day in may .maybe in better weather?but, you'll be doing so much walking from sight to sight that I would suggest a ride so you can enjoy the place more.
There are good restaurants right along the street..just turn right heading out..this is also where the Vatican, forum, colosseum are..the right side..a bus ride away
I would not suggest using the subway in rome especially staying here.the nearest stop is quite far.your best bet is the bus.
Breakfast was bread, pastries, cereals, coffee..no savory stuff, but, still good enough.
I really cannot say anything bad about this place..it's as good as it can get!
