“Magical honeymoon stay in Rome”
Reviewed November 6, 2012 via mobile

We loved this hotel- rooms were extremely modern and comfortable with blackout shutters that made naps wonderful. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious and they have a beautiful rooftop restaurant that has a great happy hour. The location is in the heart of the ancient sites and easy to get anywhere from here walking, especially the areas with lively restaurants at night. We would stay here again the next time we go to Rome.

I did my research on this hotel for our honeymoon. Other hotels looked a little cheesy, but this was very nice, and modern. Not far from other attractions, we were near the colosseum about 5-10 min away, everything is in walking distance. The furthest to get to was the vatican( 45 min walking) or you can take a bus. Elina made our stay more wonderful, she knew all the places to eat (recommended) and all the shopping areas to go. Me and my husband stayed on the 3rd Fl. (front) of the hotel, nice view, not noisy at all. They have heavy duty shades and windows that muffle out the noise. Breakfast was good in the morning, could improve on the eggs, but overall great! The beds very comfy, room service good with a complimentary bottle of champagne for our Honeymoon! T.V. needs more american channels or pay per view, but other than that, good. Thank you Elina and her staff for your help! (by the way elina, i did find my fonzies @ the airport!)

The sevice in this Hotel is really amazing. The double deluxe and classic rooms with Balconies are very nice especially those on the 5th floor with a view of the eternal city. I stayed here in May ,2012 and decided to stay here again in October because of the excellent service.
The view at the rooftop restaurant as well as the food is really very nice. The location of the Hotel to a lot of historic places makes it very easy to walk to these places.

Room Tip: The double deluxe rooms with balconies on the 5th floor overlooking the city are very very nice.

What an amazing hotel........Loved everything about it.....Room was well furnished. Loved the Nespresso machine....Breakfast was good if a little limited for choice. This is the only area that COULD have improved but I'm being picky....Location perfect as well. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Rome...

Hotel is modern and very comfortable. Also:
1. Great location - in close/walking distance to the Forum & Colliseum, and the Jewish Ghetto & Travestere. Also, a (somewhat long) walk to the Pantheon, Via de Corso, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain.
2. Beautiful large room & bathroom - faced the street but not too noisy esp for this busy area. Love the shutters that can be electronically raised & lowered.
3. Excellent buffet breakfast can be eaten inside or in the courtyard which is lovely.
4. Fridge in the room.
5. Free wifi.
6. Bus stop out front (took bus to Vatican).
7. Hotel restaurant is pricey but food & service are excellent. In-room dining was reasonable and the food was delicious.
8. Concierge was somewhat helpful for knowing which buses to take & places to see.
Excellent hotel w/no drawbacks.

Rome was our first stop on a two-week trip to Italy, and we loved Forty-Seven. Everything about the hotel was superb--our room was quiet, very comfortable and we had a lovely view. The staff, especially Alina and Marco, was fantastic, recommending restaurants and making reservations, getting us a terrific tour of the Borghese, helping us map out our days, getting us train tickets and generally making us feel welcome. Eating breakfast in the outdoor courtyard was such a lovely start to each day, and the food was very good, kept us going for most of the day. We had a nice dinner at the rooftop restaurant. And the location was fabulous--close to lots of sites and Trastavere. We will be back!
