“Fantastic Casa Banzo!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

My husband and I stayed there recently for three nights in the first week of April. We had a lovely downstairs room which we found spacious and comfortable. The room was cozy enough though I personally would have preferred it a little warmer though my husband thought it was just right. The bed was nice warm and comfy once in it so I wasn't cold. I have to thank Justine who was working at reception while we were there. She was so warm easy to talk to and helpful. She suggested a restaurant to us on arrival, booked a taxi and even booked and printed tickets online to the colosseum for us which we hadn't done. Any of the staff we met were friendly and always had a smile. Anyone who is going to a Rome will not be disappointed by Casa Banzo with it's central location, comfortable rooms and friendly staff.

Dear Guest,
First of all thank you for choosing Casa Banzo at your stay in Rome.
We are really pleased that you have enjoyed your time with us and you were satisfied with our location and service, it is always a pleasure to hear such wonderful and warm comments about our staff from our guests. Walking around is the best way to get to know "true" Rome but we know how these long walks can be tiring, that is why we do our best to make our B&B the place where you want to come back and relax.
We hope to welcome you back in the future :)

I loved the Casa Branzo. It is in one of the nicest areas in Rome and it looked like a boutique hotel, personal atmosphere, a clean room, nice hostess and a romantic courtyard. This is actually a hidden gem, so don't tell anyone....

Spent three nights in March. Very good lcoation for venturing out in the town. Beautiful courtyard, pleasant surprise. Room had a cosy interior, very warm. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Comfortable beds. Nice breakfast.
Room was on ground level, next to reception. Bit noisy, room shared hot water boiler with the neighbours, so noisy if they showered in the middle of the night. Conversations could be heard.

Stayed in casa banzo for two nights in June. The rooms are pleasant and cosy, breakfast is good quality and the level of service from Maria and the rest of the staff is fantastic.

The B and B is located in a convenient place for all the tourist attractions, ten minute walk to the colosseum & twenty minutes to the Vatican City. If you are traveling to Rome on a budget I would recommend you stay here.

My sister-in-law and I spent 4 nights in a delightfully spacious, charming room. It is an old 17th Century ?Palazzo so dont expect a flashy hotel and the price is reasonable considering its location. Our room was on the first floor and the owner was more than happy to lug our huge suitcases up the stairs (no lift) We overlooked the Piazza. It was quiet considering how close to the action you are .Location, great, if you are fit you can walk to many of the sights.
The girls that work there ,Theresa and Anca, are just lovely and could'nt have been more helpful. It is staff like this that help to make a stay enjoyable and stress free. This is my 3rd trip to Rome and I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Large room for 2 on the first floor o/looking piazza

A phantastic location right in the heart of Rome. Helpful staff and a large and comfortable room. Entrance may be difficult to find so check out the location before you go. Thoroughly recommended.

A friend and I booked separate rooms for 5 nights recently at Casa Banzo. The rooms were well appointed and the breakfasts more than fine. We felt we got a good value for our money. Some pluses: Anca - who seems to be the primary housekeeper, and jack of all trades... total sweetheart. Doesn't speak any English but sweet and helpful. Maria - who came and spoke English to us first day, oriented us to our rooms. Breakfast: hot tea, hot milk, delish cornettos (croissant). Super comfy bed on 2nd floor. Great location. Minuses: first floor noise from construction all day Saturday. Sound radiated up to even upper floors. First floor bed not so comfy and shower sort of IKEA-ish.

Overall, a good place to stay right in the Ghetto and very near Campo di Fiori. Be sure to try Filete di Bucala around the corner. Yum....

Room Tip: Saw 3 of the rooms. I had an upstairs room behind a locked gate but it was too far from traveling co...

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
A special place in Rome Nestling in a small square in the heart of Reinassance Rome on the remains of the ancient city, the 16th century palace was originally built for the noble family Alibrandi. The 18th century additions and subsequent renovation over the centuries have but added to the splendour. For four generations the building has belonged to the family now offering their unusually attractive bed & breakfast rooms and selfcatering apartments for discerning visitors to Rome. Their constant concern is maintaining their same traditionally high standards and ensuring the wellbeing of their guests and visitors of Rome. Great attention is paid to detail: antique furnishings and quality decor alongside modern amenities as well as the friendly but discreet sevice, make this private dwelling a very special selfcatering apartment in Rome. Casa Banzo hospitality begins in the stunning reception hall, with its stained glass and vaulted frescoed ceiling, continues in the comfort of the selfcatering apartments or bed & breakfast rooms. ... more   less
