The hotel is about 15 minute walk to the colosseum which is pretty handy.

Also included in the price was the continental breakfast which is a pretty good standard.

The room was on the top floor which contained a large outside balcony however the stairs could be a killer if your into small lifts.

The room was basic but clean.

Bed was a bit average and could have been a bit better in the comfort department, the only major bad point.

Room tip: top floor rooms contain large outside balcony, however the lift is pretty small.

Stayed 4 nights in the Raffaello hotel. Great location with the main sightseeing attractions within walking distance. The room was a bit on the small side, but it was clean & well maintained. The shower was very cosy.
The staff are very friendly & willing. The breakfast is your typical continental style.
Tip room 310 is quiet as you are not facing the main street.
I would definitely stay there again.

This is an excellent choice in Rome. It has a great location, a very good breakfast and the staff were excellent. The bedroom was a bit small, but adequate. The bed was comfortable. Probably the biggest drawback was the shower which was very small and a slight ridge by the toilet right outside the shower. We smashed our toes a few times before we got used to it.

It was August in Rome and by about 2 PM we found it getting stifling hot. From most of the major landmarks we would chose to get a taxi back to the Raffaello and found it to be under 10 Euros except when we came from the Termini. I asked the staff what it should cost and they said from 10 Euros to 200 depending on what they can get from the customer.

You'll want to change money near Termini. You should be able to get about 8.50 Euros per $10 USD there, but elsewhere (the airport) we got less than 7.50 Euros for $10 USD. Our best place was Good Change degli amici Nicola e Luigi on Via del Viminale 2-e Roma near the Roman Ntion Museum which is a 5 minute walk from the Raffaello.

Stayed two nights at the Hotel Raffaello and will go back when visiting Rome again. The staff are fantastic - ready and very willing to help, even explaining things you hadn't thought about!

The hotel is in a great location and easy walking (around twenty minutes) to many attractions including the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Baths of Diocletian, the Pantheon etc. The front desk can also tell you about the hop on hop off tour buses; a great way to see Rome and "get your bearings", or call a taxi for you. Taxis (we think) are a good way to get around at a reasonable cost (always use the City's official taxis, white ones, and make sure the meter is on).

The Hotel (very good communication before our stay) also pre booked a taxi for us from the airport - very efficient. The rooms are beautifully furnished, decorated in a traditional style and are very comfortable with en-suite and good air-con. Breakfast was superb with a very good selection of cereals, meats, fruit, toast etc.

Thanks to all the staff for a very enjoyable stay – would highly recommend staying here.

Very nice hotel. Central located, clean rooms, super breakfast included in price. Friendly staff very helpful and especially the two ladies in the breakfast room were very kind.
The hotel is very near walking distance from the railway station.
