It is located outside of the main tourist area, but is close to Roma Ostiense train station and La Piramide subway stations which will give you convenient access to all of Rome. There are neighborhood type restaurants and a supermarket right around the hotel for those who don't want to spend a lot to eat. Hotel was clean and with good Wifi strength and good sound proofing windows. Reception staff were helpful and were very pleasing to the eyes - both female and male. Breakfast is of the standard affair in a nice atrium and the hours from 7 to 10 am is reasonable. Decor is modern, clean and bedding was crisp, clean and confortable. Room size is very good for an European hotel.

We booked this hotel because of the great reviews however I was a bit dissapointed with the cleanliness of the room. The hotel should know that a good service is not just about design, they have to clean! The bathtube was dirty (i had to clean it myself with a towel and soap) the carpet dirty, the night table dirty too (we ate some cookies on day 1 and in day 3 the small pieces of cookie were still on top of the table). The bed mattress was VERY hard.
Now in terms of location it is far from every major attraction, you have to take the Piramide station and is not very secure ( a lot of strange people around).
The breakfast ends at 10:00 (a bit early for me) and it is ok.

Artsy Hotel away from center of city , we needed to be in this interesting neighborhood , but found a good value , less than 100 Euro a night booked online directly with hotel. In fact we needed to book additional 2 nights and found cheaper rate online with hotel website than at front desk.
Positives : Clean rooms , some rooms need updating though. Pleasant front desk ,arranged airport transfer in a Mercedes for basically same cost as city White Taxi. Bellhop was helpful and rooms were very clean daily. We stayed 6 nights in two stops there. Breakfast Buffet plentiful , with lots of options and reasonable espresso machine , breakfast served until 10am. Very nice fixed price , 4 course dinner including wine for 25 Euro , make sure to book table in advance. Grocery a few doors down , Piramade metro station 5 minutes away (2 stops to Colisseo , 3 stops to Termini) and huge market ( Eataly ) about 5 streets up the hill. #23 bus on the corner takes you to or near Trestevere , Campo Fiori , Jewish Ghetto or Vatican
City.
Only negative is spotty , but free WIFI> , and some early commute noise heard in room, but rooms did have newer windows with some soundproofing.

Room Tip: Away from elevator

This is a very modern and artsy hotel very close to the metro in Rome. It is not within the city walls, but getting to the sights is very easy on the train. The staff was great. They were very helpful and friendly. We stayed one night. The room we had was pretty noisy and our friends' room was also pretty loud. If you need absolute quiet, this is probably not your hotel. This is also not a classic old hotel...very new and modern. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. They do have a very good restaurant next to the hotel we ate at.

Room Tip: Request a room not on the street if you want a little more quiet experience.

We flew to Rome at airport Fiumicino. We wanted a hotel close to the city center or pretty close to the city center with easy access to the city center. The location of Abitart Hotel is great. We got out with the train and after 5 minutes walking we were at the hotel. You can very easily take a bus, the subway, the train to go where you wanna go. By train it is easy to go to Vatican City. You can take the bus, subway or train to go to the city center. We even walked to the Colloseum (about 20 minutes).
The hotel itself is good. The staff is friendly, the room was clean and good. There is also free WiFi available. The included breakfast was ok, not bad, but not super.

Abitart is a very well-located hotel if you want to stay out of the bustle of the city yet be close by enough to see the sights - a bus ride or metro ride will get you to the centre in 20 minutes. The staff are extremely helpful and competent. They let us check in hours before the normal check-in time, they were ready to answer questions concerning directions, transportation, etc. happily. A very nice staff. The hotel is well located if you wish to explore Garbatella, Testaccio (the great Museo Centrale Montemartini is 5 minutes away). The area has a number of good restaurants not far away and Eataly and Volpetti are close. The breakfast is not inspired but is good and the rooms are clean and the air conditioning good. Altogether very pleased with this discovery.
