Summary: Clean hotel with excellent staff, full breakfast, and near local attractions and transportation.

We arrived at 10:30 am in the morning after our overnight flight from US, the staff warmly welcomed us and while we waited 20 minutes for our room we were offered full breakfast and tea/coffee for free. This made us feel very good since we were really tired.

Defintely stay at this hotel. Only negative about the hotel is that if you have connection Termini station and have heavy luggage you can not walk or take public transportation here.

Room Tip: rooms are quite, plan on taking the taxi from the termini station if you have luggage otherwise you...

We had 5 days here and absolutely loved it. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The breakfast was varied and plentiful with fresh espresso, hot choc or cappuccino. The hotel has a bar too. The manager Antonio and all the staff were very helpful and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble. There was a supermarket, ticket office and trams right beside the hotel, and many wonderful places to eat and drink the local fare. The hotel has a very handy location, just outside the tourist centre. With public transport right outside the hotel door - the location was perfect and very easy to manage. Antonio was marvellous. He knew everything about rome and how to get there. He had great tips to make our stay in Rome economical and fun and interesting. Every day he spent time with us and gave us personal attention - he told us about everything from the colosseum, to pizza, wine, laundry, boot repairs, markets and gelato. Our stay was terrific here thanks to all the staff! Next time in Rome, we will definitely be at Hotel Villa San Lorenzo Maria! Grazie!!!!

My husband and I had the opportunity to spend 5 nights here while in Rome. Staff was extreamly friendly and helpful- the hotel manager Antonio was super attentive and took it upon himself to daily greet us, inquire about our plans for the day and give suggestions for travel around Rome- with maps and detail train/bus routes laid out. We arrived early at the hotel, and our room was not ready as yet.........Antionio offered us each a cappuccino to warm us and a delicious warm pasterie while we waited. We found our room warm and inviting and overer looking the front garden.

Breakfast was lovely..more than one would expect and extreamly satisfing.

When we return to Rome this is the hotel we will choose!

Thank you to all who made our stay a wonderful one.

I had two stays here within a months time. They have fantastic and courteous staff with a personable touch.

The hotel is extremely charming, it's well taken care of. The 1st stay was a good room, but on the small side (things are tight in Rome in general). The 2nd time we stayed in the hotel after our engagement (I popped the question in Venice), we were given a gorgeous room that was much more spacious, the staff really took care of us.

Breakfast is not to be missed with great expresso and speciality coffee drinks that they make from their own machine that is all included in the price. Good value in the hotel.

They go above and beyond when I had to print several train and excursion tickets, I used their computer and they even help me print the tickets.

You will notice that staff come around in the morning to check how you're doing over breakfast. On our last day, we were given a nice bottle of Chianti to take home to celebrate our engagement.

Good job and well done.

Kevin

Had an excellent stay while in Rome. The hotel is in a good location, with easy access to the tram that takes you right by the Colosseum in 10 minutes. It's tucked away off the street, so it was very quiet at night. The rooms were clean and the staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. And the cappuccinos were great, too. Would definitely stay here again!

I went to Rome for conference and travel for 9 days. Frankly speaking, the first reason I choose this hotel from the website is the price-value. If you want to choose a peaceful place but with good price and convenient traffic, book it! But it is not the end of the story. Guess what is better? Warm-hearted and considerate staff! I still remember when I first got to this hotel, it is a rainy day. Antonio, a super kind and enthusiastic man, give me a very special and quick "check-in". After showing my passport, there is nothing more but a pot of hot tea to warm myself. They prepared everything: room, luggage, map, route, suggestions to travel among Roma... They provide you more than you could imagine.
What's more? Lovely room, peaceful environment, wonderful garden, delicious breakfast, hey, wait, why not go to there and have a look by yourself:) You will find how satisfied you are!

Believe the positive reviews. We had 3 nights here earlier this month. We were a bit worn out after early flight, waiting for bus at airport, 40 mins to get to Termini station and another 30 mins on bus driving round the outside of the station. The walk to hotel was fine - about 15 mins. The area at first looks a bit rough because of the graffiti but it really isn't - we walked around at night quite happily. The hotel is like a little oasis - lovely to arrive at and then return to after the crowds. On arrival we received a warm welcome from Antonio. We were early but our room was ready. While we relaxed with coffee our bags were taken to our room. Antonio provided us with a map and then gave us all the help we needed for first trip to rome along with some useful tips! We are now trying to find time to return. Thank you Antonio and the rest of the team. Proof that you can get good personal service in a big city.
