We recently stay at the Parker hotel and found the staff inviting .The bedroom was clean and the breakfast was OK . There is no WiFi and had to pay for the use of the computer in the foyer. The street to the train station which was about a 20minute walk was littered with rubbish . not a good sight for visitors to Rome . The Restaurant along the street was a treat with great food and made our stay worthwhile .

Hotel is super close to the train station, but still necessary to take a cab. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Good value for the money. Surrounding area did not seem to be very safe.

We also stayed here at the same time as unfortunate Crampy02. Our experience could not have been more different. We found all the staff without exception very helpful and the nice lady on daytime reception photocopied our passports for us all at no charge when we needed those for our Rome passes. Another reception lady 'Anka', who is not Italian, was also very sweet and gave us restaurant cards when we did not know where to go. In defence of the hotel, please realise that it is not 5* but a budget hotel, where you stay when you are not planning to spend much time in the hotel but when you need a convenient base to put your head down. Contrary to some chaps' experience we all (2 couples) found the beds very comfortable, the place spotlessly clean
and the breakfast was more than adequate with rolls, toast, pastries galore, cereals, yoghurt, all types of jam, honey, cold meats and cheese, as much as you can eat. If I do have one gripe, then it's what poses as orange juice. It's a strong squash and I hate the stuff but hey - it's a budget hotel right? All in all, we had a super time at the Parker. If you want Ritz service, go to the Ritz. Our age group is around +/- 60 and we are not used to slumming it. The Parker is brilliant value for money. (sorry for any typos - done on iPhone)

We stayed at the Parker hotel for 3 nights and apart from the location (being close to the metro and train station) it was a hideous experience. The reception staff in this hotel need to be sent to personality school! We had tours that needed to be confirmed so instead of being helpful and confirming for us they simply dialed the number and handed us the phone (not helpful when you don't speak Italian). Any time we had a question it was as if we had inflicted physical pain. On our check out all she could muster was "you pay the city tax". Lucky she didn't ask how our stay was!! The beds were hard as rock, the air conditioning only blew hot air (imagine the response if we asked to get that fixed) and there was no wifi. Like I said the only saving grace (and I mean ONLY) was it was an easy enough base to explore Rome (which is a fantastic city) for the price. But over all the reception staff spoiled the accomodation experience. If you don't want to deal with people don't be in the customer service industry, especially the holiday one.

Me and my husband spent 4 nights there in the middle of February 2012. It is very clean and tidy hotel, near Termini station (20 minustes walk), good breakfast. The neighbouhood is not good - it seemed to be like China town there. But the greatest problem was the service - extremely unfriendly and unhelpful staf, even rude at a time! Such a dissapointment!
Nevertheless, if one doesn't mind the service - the hotel is worth the money!

Great location, close to Termini station. The rooms are clean and cute, but the bathroom is very small. Breakfast is satisfactory. Downside: it doesn't have wi-fi, there is only one computer available. At the moment on check-in is informed that you are charged 2 euros per day: fee for tourists. The attendants are a rude. In general, the hotel is very good, I recommend the hotel because of location and price.

Me and my boyfriend spent 5 nights in this hotel. It was really worth the money we payed for it. First of all, it's location is good since it's close to the metro station "Manzoni" (7 minutes walk) and also rather close to the "Termini" train and metro station (15-20 minutes walk).
The rooms were cute and clean but a little small. The bathroom was rather new and clean. There was adequate heating of the room and a nice TV. Unfortunately no balconies just windows, but we visited during winter so it didn't really matter! The breakfast was satisfactory, not something special but fine (cereals, yogurt, bread, cheese, ham, honey, marmalade, coffee, tea, milk- I think they should have some fruit and vegetable).
There was a bit of noise since our room was at the side of a rather busy street, but not something very annoying. The only problem I would point out is that there was not a double bed as we had asked but two single beds put one next to the other.
In general I would recommend this hotel as value for money and for its rather good location.
