I stayed at this hotel because I had seen great reviews on trip advisor however I feel the hotel wasn't quite as good as everyone makes out. The staff were very polite and helpful and all in English which helped me out. I was staying on my own and booked a single room. The room was very clean and tidy BUT my room was very dark, it had only one light with dark wooden panelling, the air conditioning was broken and my key didn't fit in the safe. Room 120 needs some work on modernisation, I never complained about this as really I was only there for two nights and on such a short stay it was only somewhere to rest my head and shower. The photos I found on here and on their website lead me to believe I was staying somewhere better. The hotel I self is only a 5-10 minute walk from the station which was quite gold but it means longer to walk to the tourist attractions.

We stayed at this hotel after leaving a terrible booking at midnight. The staff could not have been more helpful throughout and our room was sizeable with air conditioning and a nice bathroom. Breakfast was served in a lovely room and was a selection of breads with jam and cheese and juices and coffee. This hotel is 1 minute walk from a metro and as such perfect for exploring. There is nothing much in that area for tourists but some lovely little local shops for ice creams, cheap beers and water etc. the hotel bar is very reasonably priced. There is nothing at the hotel other than your room and breakfast but you can also access wifi in the hotel reception area which lots of guests did and made for a nice sitting area. If you are in the city for 3-4 days and want to explore using public transport this is perfect. We could not have been happier and the staff really helped us out after we arrived sore, tired and hot from booking into a terrible B and B which was the same price as this hotel.

My wife and I found this hotel to be perfect for a short break, good position, clean and staff really helpfull. We found the breakfast good, it's a continental breakfast and was fine for us, if you want full english etc etc then I suggest you go elsewhere. We found it hard to find anything wrong with it, the only thing if I want to be really picky was the shower, it was attached to the bath taps and you had to sit in the bath to use it. If you have walking difficulties then the hotel is certanly not for you, as you have to walk up two flights of stairs to get to reception. If we go back to Rome again I will certainly come back here.

Room Tip: Our room was at the back looking over the courtyard, very quiet.

The hotel is central, clean and well presented. Our room was large and the bathroom was lovely and very spacious. Staff were just fine and the cleaners did a good job. Despite it's relatively central location, opposite a square walking distance to the centre, it manages to be quiet. There are no drink making facilities in the room but there's a TV and hot drinks are always available at the hotel's small bar.

The let-down is the breakfast which frankly, is just odd. On offer is a hot drink machine and fruit juice, also from a machine. To eat you'll find small bread rolls, butter, jam and sticky croissants in plastic packaging. There's no cereals, fruit or anything hot or healthy.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in November 2012. We booked this hotel based upon price, value for money and location.

Location - walking distance to the city centre. In fact, besides getting a coach from the airport to the city, we did not use any other public transport whilst here. We walked all round the city. The hotel is conveniently placed to do so and you can easily get from the hotel to sights such as the Colleseum and the Trevi fountain. The hotel is also close to the Termini which is a train station where most coach services operate from. We flew into Fiumincio airport and used Terravision coaches to get to and from the airport and the city centre.

Rooms - we was pleasantly surprised with the room quality. Our room was very spacious, as was the high bathroom we had. The room was comfortable and relatively quiet making it a great place to sleep. Our window overlooked a courtyard which was lovely. We had a bath with a shower over it and as mentioned, a very decent size bathroom. Other room facilities included a television (limited English channels), air conditioning and plenty of space for clothing etc.

Breakfast - the worst aspect of this hotel is the abismal breakfast it provides. I came with the expectation that there would not be much choice, but what we got was nothing short of rubbish. No cereal or anything like that, just cakes and dry bread. As a diabetic, I had limited choice and only decided to go down for breakfast the second morning for a hot drink. If you are wanting a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day you will have to find somewhere in the city to have this.

Service - service was fine. Reception staff pleasant and helpful. Allowed us to leave our luggage in the hotel whilst we went out and about (due to a late flight).

Public areas - small reception area where wifi is available. Also, a bar behind reception operates however I cannot comment on what they serve as I never went.

Overall a comfortable stay. If you are looking for a small, friendly budget hotel walking distance to most attractions Rome has to offer, then this hotel is fine as it offers all of the above at a very reasonable price.

We were a bit wary after looking on google earth at the photos of the area, but the hotel was easy to find and found we had nothing to worry about the area. Although it looks really rough you are safe enough....The staff were very helpful and polite. The rooms were ok for the amount of stars, but the only problem was the shower it had no where to put the handle and it leaked into the bedroom. The bed was the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in and clean. The breakfast was 3 bread rolls and although you had jams , chocolate spread and any amount of tea, coffee and orange juice i thought there could of been a little bit more ie, yoghurt, fruit etc.....Not far off the open top bus routes which were really good and haggle about the price as you can get it a little cheaper. The red city tour bus seems to be the ones to get as they run more frequently... The ice cream shop a few doors down is the best by far, really tasty.... Overall a pleasent stay......

This is a little gem of a hotel very near the central train station in Rome.Very well serviced by public transport---- trams, metro and buses. We were attending a wedding at the Irish college about ten minutes walk away. Our room was spotless, comfortable and well lit.The bathroom was as good as one might expect to find in "a luxury"property. The reception staff were most helpful and professional. The breakfast was excellent.I would have no hesitation recommending this fine very well run hotel.Loved it!!!
