“Great Hotel but a bit away from everything”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2013

The biggest disadvantage of this hotel is that its outside the old walls of ROME which means the Taxi charges are a lot more. There is a metro station closeby (10 min walk) but when with luggage & family you stand to be at a bid disadvantage. But not taking anything away from the Hotel. The hotel itself is a great one. Excellent Rooms, Good Service & great value for money especially if you're an accor member.

Our room was really good. The best Mercure Room compared to the other ones we have stayed in. The Room has a comfortable bed, adequately large bathroom & the amenities are good too. They have free Wi-fi which is good. They have a Bar & a Restaurant on the Ground Floor.

Stay here if you have your own transport or don't mind using public transport. A good hotel nonetheless.

Well furnished hotel. I stayed there for 3 days and it was a good stay. The hotel does not have loads of services, but the rooms are comfortable and they have a good size for 2 people.
It is a bit far from the city centre but near the subway station, which makes it easy to move around.
Would stay there again. Paid with accor club points but the price wasnt bad comparing to other hotels in the same area.

The hotel staff werent very helpful when the wifi kept dropping out, we had real trouble within the first night, dropping out every 5 minutes and half the time not connecting again. To top it off you needed to go to the reception desk every 12 hours for a new password and username, which was inconvenient, too bad if you wanted to use it when you got up, staying in bed. Apart from that the hotel was decent, clean and not overly tiny. The metro station was only a few streets over though there wasnt much variety in food or shopping in the area. There is a laundromat across the road which was really well priced, especially compared to the hotels laundry service. Overall wasnt unhappy (the wifi came good) but wasnt super impressed either.

The hotel is very modern with comfortable beds and a good hot shower (trust me you appreciate this as you travel through Europe!). Although it is not in the heart of Rome it is only a few minutes walk to the metro, which is extremely easy to navigate. Besides you also get the positives of being away from the city such as cheaper restaurants and quiet all night. There is a laundry directly next to the hotel which is cheap for Europe standards (€12 for 7kg wash and dry and that includes powder. They do it for you so you can drop it and collect it in the afternoon no dramas). The breakfast is good also with something for everyone. Only complaints is the staff have not been nearly as friendly or helpful as the other places we have stayed. Also you need to get a new wifi password every 12 hours which is a very minor inconvenience. I would stay here again.
