inadequate hotel.....the area around the hotel was simply tragic especially from the side near the station...the rooms in the entrance were awful, very noisy so that you couldnt sleep....the breakfast served in the room(very poor)....the towels changed every 2 days....the only positive thing was the lady in the reception, was very helpful and friendly...

Room Tip: dont choose the rooms in the entrance

This is a two star hotel, for which you get the service and comfort that you pay for.

On the plus side:
- Great beds actually, better than most I've experienced in any hotel, especially budgets hotels.
- Located on a side street away from the most heavy traffic, i.e. pretty quiet at night time.
- Friendly staff
- Security box in the room, free of charge
- Small flatscreen TV with 20-30 channels.
- Working A/C (kind of, not showing the correct temp. but the cooling worked)
- Only a few hundred meters to a metro station
- 30m from a super market with good opening hours.
- 100m from the best ice cream place in the entire town (Giovanni Fassi)! Don't miss this place if you like ice cream. They have, by far, the best quality ice cream I've ever tried. Also they charge €3 for an ice cream that cost €4-4.5 downtown. Open from 10am to 12pm every day! Be prepared to wait in line since it's crowded all day, but believe me, it's well worth the wait!.

On the downside:
- Really small bathroom with a shower curtain that was too short, resulting in water all over the floor (without a drain(!) so the water couldn't vanish), be sure to take off your socks before going to the bathroom.
- Their 'breakfast' that is included is not much of a breakfast at all. Coffee/tea, croissant and cold toast w butter/jelly. That's it.
- No restaurant or bar, which would have been nice when you're too tired to go out and find a place.
- Paper thin walls between rooms.
- The cleaning was missed a few times during our 8 night stay.
- No elevator (our room was on the 4th floor.)

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a room on the top floor if you don't mind the steps. We got no. 43 which was...

Stayed here with a friend during the 3rd week of may and enjoyed the stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Stayed on the 3rd floor and were quite surprised by the size of the rooms, they were quite spacious. The hotel seems to be in the china town part of Rome and there is not very much happening immediately around the hotel, however it was about a 15 minute walk to the Colosseum and about an hour walk to Trevi fountain. There is a big supermarket just around the corner which is convenient for picking up the odd item.

Some things that were a little annoying included having to return your room key when exiting the hotel, and the hotel main door was locked at all times so you would have to wait for someone to let you in. The bathroom at times has a little bit of a smell but nothing unbearable. When we got to the hotel our air conditioner would turn on but would not blow air, no one was able to fix it and did not seem to concerned - my friend gave it a hard tap on the front and it started to work! We had to give it a 'love tap' every time we wanted to use it.

Overall decent experience!

Room Tip: there is no elevator in this hotel

We were overall happy with our experience at this hotel. The room size was great, but the bathroom was a little small. Bed was comfortable and we had a nice flat screen TV. There was a grocery store close by, and some really good restaurants. We were able to walk from the main train station, but it took about 15 minutes. Breakfast was brought right to our room which was nice, but all it included was juice, choice of hot drink, croissant and dry toast in a package. My only complaint about this hotel was that our room was on the main floor, right in between the entrance and the reception desk. One morning we were awoken at 5 am, as the employee working reception was talking very loudly with someone for quite some time. I had to interrupt them to ask them to be quiet. So if you stay, ask not to stay on the main floor.

We got a room in the basement- mould on the walls and smell of dump. we asked to change the room but receptionist didn't speak english. Room was cleaned every day and towels changed but it didn't matter as mould and smell was there all the time. If you are allergic to mould- stay away from this place. We could hear every single step of people walking upstairs as there was reception. Day after we arrived they started some building works at 7 in the morning, lots od banging and drilling. I was so tired that I didn't enjoy sightseeing Rome. Area is awful as well and not so close to Termini station ( you have to take metro to get to Termini). There was one very nice and helpful girl- Rebecca who makes the place less miserable. Don't reccomend staying there. After all we stayed in a different place on the other side of Termini station. Much better hostel and neighbourhood and finaly I got some sleep.

The hotel is near 2 metro stops and one tram stop which you can take buses from there too. Close to many attraction like Colosseum, Roman Forum,...

The staff are very nice and helpful. We got everything we needed and they even help us to take the right bus line to go to new restaurants. The room is nice and cozy except for the noisy air-conditional. The cleaning person is very careful and organized. We always found the room in the best condition when we got back after a long day. Breakfast served in room.

Highly recommended!
