This hotel was perfect for our 1 week stay in Rome. Our room was cleaned everyday, hotel staff was extremely helpful, small breakfast on the rooftop was just adorable we loved it! The location was great, everything was in walking distance, colosseum, trevi fountain, spanish steps and Termini Station! We ate at many restaurants nearby the hotel and each and every ristorante had incredible food! Our room was a decent size for 2 girls, it was nice that the toilet was separate from the shower and mirror. There is a laundromat just around the corner if you need to do laundry!

Overall I have no complaints, this was the perfect place to stay in Rome with great value for your money. I would definately stay here again!

Room Tip: Wifi is only available in the lobby...however, if you get a room on the 1st floor you'll be able...

Hotel was in an excellent location, close to colleseum. The staff were very helpful. Hotel was clean and well kept. Breakfast on roof terrace, lovely. However not much selection of juices. Only downside. We had a lovely stay.

Nice hotel with very responsive staff. Very small rooms but good enough ti sleep on a comfortable bed with air cond. Breakfast are okay: ham cheese bread toasts jams pastries musli tea coffee juices (not fresh). Breakfast is served on the roof which is very very cool! In the eve there was nobody on the roof, so we bought a bottle of wine procuitto and parmezan and had a romantic dinner. Receiptionist gave us two wine glasses and was ready to help. Minuses: we had broken frigde in our room. The promised to fix it as we are going to check in again in two days. So, will update my comment

We chose Hotel Canova as a place for the 5 of us to meet in Rome. It was a mature couple and 3 adult age children. We took 2 rooms for 3 days. The triple room was really a large double with another bed -- a bit cramped for 3 20 somethings -- but they didn't spend that much time in the room anyway.
Hotel was walking distance from Termini train station -- probably 300 metres. On arrival we took the B train to Cavour street (as recommended by the hotel website) -- it was VERY crowded and hot -- not a good experience when you're dragging bags around. I'd recommend walking or a cab (about $10 euros).
Staff was friendly with good English, and communications prior to arrival were good.
Our 5th floor rooms were clean and reasonably quiet (we were there when Italy beat Germany to make Eurocup final -- don't think ANY hotel was quiet that night!). Shower was small but workable.
Lift (elevator) was a 2 person affair -- very small -- but not unusual for Rome. Stairs were fine for going downstairs.
We didn't eat breakfast there (preferring our favourite pasticceria Dagnino) -- but it looked fine.
Location was god -- right off Cavour -- not too far from Termini, Colosseum, Forum, Trevi, Spanish Steps etc. It took us probably 15 minutes to walk to them.
Internet available in the lobby only (wireless).

Overall we were happy with the hotel and would stay there again (although we stayed at Venetia Palace the night before flight home and preferred it).

The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the room was good - nothing special, but clean and what we expected. The breakfast is fairly basic (two choices of cereal, bread, ham and cheese, pastries, yoghurts) but delicious and if you're on the top couple of floors, you eat on the rooftop terrace - a great experience! The hotel is only a 10min walk from the train station, and close to the Colloseum and Forum. We managed to walk to all the main attractions from it, and the surrounding restaurants were generally reasonably priced - despite being near the station, I would say the hotel is in a good area.

Room Tip: We enjoyed being on the top floor as this meant we ate breakfast on the roof.

Stayed here for 4 nights last weekend, room smallish but fine, great powerful shower although we had no hot water once evening and then again the morning we left (4:30am) which was a pain, I know I should have said something but the evening we had no hot water, I thought it would be a one off, and when we left it was all a rush for our early flight. The location is close to the Colosseum but quite a walk from the new town, we enjoy walking so this was not a problem. We paid about £450 for 4 nights, although pricey I feel for a 3 star hotel, it was good value for accommodation in Rome. Free wifi in the lobby and a decent continental breakfast was included in the price. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. The restaurants round about were fantastic value, only about 8 euro for a delicous mail course and about 3 euro for half a litre of house wine!

We stayed in hotel at end of may and were very impressed. The hotel is in a good location on a quiet street but stil within walking distance of all the sights. The room a decent size for Europe, with modern clean well equipped bathrooms. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. We had breakfast on the roof every day and had no complaints about standard in coffee was wonderful. When you compare the price to other hotels its amazing how good value it is.
