last trip in Rome; near the center of the magnificent Rome, without paying too much like it is for the hotel in the center; 5 min to railway station, 2 minutes by foot from Trevi Fountain and Spagna's Square; courtesy and flessibility; i have found all i need for my vacation to Rome, the city of the Gladiators and Pope; i'll came back there for Christmas ;

My partner and I stayed here for a week in August and we had a wonderful time. Our room was small and wasn't much to look at, but it had everything we needed and was perfectly clean. We were hardly there - out every day from about 8am to 10pm! There's so much to do and see in Rome, after all. The hotel was excellent value, in a superb location, and was clean and tidy - it's really all you need for a week in Rome. We loved the rooftop continental breakfast in the mornings - oh and with amazing coffee. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, too, with advice and tips on where to go and when, and even made a couple of phone calls on our behalf. Really, really glad we stayed here, and we didn't want to leave. The hotel OR Rome, that is :)

A truly wonderful holiday made even better by our stay at 53. We would happily stay there again.

A word on pickpockets/safety: Rome was heaving during our stay - it was the height of the tourist season. But we never once felt threatened and we were never troubled by pickpockets. Just be sensible and you won't have any issues. Sure, there were a lot of hawkers on the streets, but you get used to those.

This was a return trip to Hotel Cinquantatre. We visited 8 years ago and had found this boutique hotel charming and well located. Still charming, but is starting to show some wear. Location cannot be beat. Easy access to transportation and tourist sites and restaurants. Staff very helpful and rooftop breakfast buffet great fun. Elevator is a a not to be missed experience.

Room Tip: All rooms comfortable but quirky.

My 7 year old daughter and I arrived on 30th September for 3 days and had a lovely experience staying here. The staff were just brilliant, friendly and very helpful with directions, where to eat and what to do. I was plesantly surprised with the room, we had a superior room with a balcony and it was big and spacious which I wasnt expecting and really really clean. The hotel is perfect for location 10 minute walk to spanish steps and Trevi and Pantheon not far from there. Metro is easy to use and minutes from hotel which takes u straight to Vatican and Colosseum. Bus also minutes walk away and takes you to Travesfere so you are covered for all tourist stops.
Wireless wifi isnt the best but the hotel has a computer you can use so that was ok.

The roof top terrace is lovely specially in the morning for breakfast. The coffee is Amazing and it truly is a european breakfast with croissants, bread, patries, biscuits and cake, so my daughter thought that was awesome.
Overall being our first time in Rome and having looked at so many hotels when booking we picked a winner here as it was just perfect! Thanks to Nimo and his team, I hope to be back.
Ciao!

A unique and unusual hotel, with five floors, two or three rooms on each floor. The breakfast is served on the top of the hotel with a delightful terrace. The staff were enormously friendly, especially at breakfast. No English/German languages on the TV, but about 200 channels in Italian, if you speak it.

The view from the terrace of our room looked up the street to Via Veneto - an easy walk to all the primary sites in Rome with Villa Borghese at the top of V Veneto. An exceptionally accommodating staff could not be more helpful. A small boutique hotel very inviting. We had a full size bathroom with jacuzzi tub - delightful! Rooftop restaurant. They can recommend the best restaurants and "off the beaten path" sights in the city. My Italian nephew from Como stays here on every frequent visit to Rome.

Room Tip: Try to book the room with terrace and full jacuzzi bath - a bargain!
