“Best hotel ever”

This hotel is absolutely lovely. The building itself is palatial and the level of service matches that high standard. The rooms are very large especially for a city hotel and ours was always immaculately clean. The location is stunning - right in the centre of rome within walking distance of the colosseum and other sights. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby for when you need a rest from sightseeing !

Room Tip: Not a room tip but pop across the roundabout to the understated church opposite. The rundown exterio...

Starting with the highs, great location and fabulous looking hotel. Excellent concierge and reception staff. Good sized room with nice marble bathroom

Now the lows
Superior room 228- simply wasn't. No window in the room, there was a door leading to what can only be described as a tunnel with an area of light at the end of it. It certainly couldn't be classed in any way shape or form a balcony.
Extortionate prices in the mini bar even given that this is classed as a 5* hotel. We always say if you stay in 5* hotels don't complain about paying 5* prices however any decent 5* hotel we have stayed in provide bottled water daily, this hotel will charge you E14 for 2 small bottles.
The wifi although free is useless
No hot drinks making facilities in the room
Adequate breakfast but slow service and tepid food
The pool is on the 5th floor and although not big is great for cooling off after a days sight seeing, unfortunately the staff in this dept badly let the hotel down. The area to the side of the pool where the chairs and sunbeds are is a disgrace. On both occasions we went up there it was dirty and unkempt. Piles of used towels just left on beds and chairs. Dirty glasses and plates on tables. The floor and the glass partition area around this pool looked they hadn't been swept or cleaned for days, cigarette ends, paper and bird poo on the floor. We complained to a member of staff who instructed another staff member to sort it out but all he did was move some of the used towels off the beds. Not good enough Boscola
The lobby bar and terrace bar serve nice food and good drinks at a price, however only go if you have lots of time as the service is appalling. Saturday evening although only half the terrace was occupied it took exactly 1 hour to get one round of drinks (2 drinks) and the bill

Room Tip: Hope for an upgrade and ask for a room overlooking the fountains - if you are given 228 refuse it un...

Currently staying at Boscolo, very good location to most landmark in Rome.
Room are very big, especially by European standards , both shower and bath in bathroom.
Stayed here as part of a group, so did not pay for Hotel, so would not be able to comment on Value for your money, but no matter what, after most likely long day walking Rome's streets, great place to relax. On 3rd Floor, did not hear much of anything .

The Exedra is in a wonderful location for the sites and transportation of Roma. It is within walking of the Termini Station and the Republic metro stop. There are wonderful historic sites near the hotel within a couple of minutes.

The hotel itself is excellent. The staff was friendly and was able to handle all of my requests.

I was fortunate to be asked to view a movie premier at the theater next to the Boscolo Exedra. I was able to meet all the Italian stars of the movie even though I had no idea who they were!

Great hotel, excellent location within walking distance to most attractions and next to Metro station for other locations such as the Vatican. Staff were friendly and courteous, especially Claudia on reception. As we were only there for an overnight stay Claudia offered a late check-out so we could make the most of our time. Our room was facing the side street and a bit noisy but once the huge windows were shut it was quiet. We stayed there for our wedding anniversary and in the early evening a bottle of proseco was delivered to our room as a gift from the hotel, which was a nice surprise. While we were out for dinner in the evening our room had been tidied up, which was unexpected. The room itself was very spacious with a king size, very comfortable bed. We managed to squeeze in a swim in the roof top pool during our short stay .We were the only ones using the pool but other guests were on the the rooftop making use of the sunloungers. There was a bar next to the pool as well as one near the reception. I would definitely recommend a stay here and hope to visit again in the near future.

The facade of the hotel is very impressive, blends in very well to the atmosphere of the city. Have been upgraded to the superior room which was spacious and had a nice view. It had a big marble bathroom too. Although the room was facing the street, sound proofing was quite good due to double windows. If you are a light sleeper though I'd request a room facing the backyard to be on the safe side. Minibar and restaurant is overpriced like in most luxury hotels. Do make use of the concierge service, they are very helpful and give good dinner recommendations.
Overall very pleasant stay!
