Definitely not a 4-star hotel!!! Service is terrible, not friendly and arrogant, breakfast was well below Italian standard (very little choice, cordial instead of fruit juice, instant coffee NOT real coffee, served in plastic glassware!!), room very small, did not even provide us with doonas!!! Very unhappy, worst experience of my trip!

We can not say enough positive things about our stay at this amazing hotel in Rome. The rooms were beautiful with the marble floors, beautiufl ceilings and lights, and the decor was amazing!!

The A/C worked well and the room was well cooled upon check in. This was a very nice change from every other hotel we stayed in during our time in Italy!

Mauro, at the front desk, made our stay a time we will never forget. He went out of his way to make us feel so welcomed and gave us many good laughs during the days we were there. He does an AMAZING job for this hotel, and was so warm and outgoing with the guests.

He and others made phone calls for us to get information we needed for our sight seeing and other arrangments in Rome. The service we received at the front desk was OUTSTANDING!!

I had figured that I would have to park the car in a garage and pay a high price per day for parking. Mauro suggested that I park on the street in front of the hotel and just put money in the meter every 24 hours. (We used cabs while we were in Rome.) He showed me that the hotel desk staff could see the car on their security system which made me feel good. We paid a fraction of the cost of what he would have cost us to park in the gargage by leaving the car on the street. Everything was fine with the car on the street. It was plenty safe.

This was probably the best hotel we stayed in during our 33 days of travel in Europe visiting 7 countries.

An absolutely delightful hotel! We loved it!
The room was big, bright, tasteful and cleaned every day - the children particularly loved not having to make their beds! (So did Mum!).
Breakfast was delicious - lots to choose from and plenty of it. The ONLY thing I did not like was the coffee..... not up to the usual Italian standard!
Rome is a fairly compact city so if you are happy and able to walk then this is an ideal hotel situated in the quiet Banking and Embassy area. If walking is a problem there are plenty of buses and taxi's available at a reasonable cost.
Mauro did indeed put a smile on our faces - he was a real credit to a great hotel.
We would not hesitate to recommend it.

Definately not a 4 star, lucky to be a! Tiny rooms, did not change bed sheets for 4 days. Sleazy guy (not all) at front desk was quite rude and arrogant. On opposite side if Rome to everything. No informatipn in room re services or area. Did not enjoy stay and will never recommend or stay again.

A nice, friendly hotel, very well located nearby Vila Borghese park and in walking distance from Plaza Barberini, Fontana di Trevi, Via Venetto. Also close to public transportation.
The room we got for the first night was terrible, but starting the second day we got a verry good one. Breakfast above average, services good.
A special word for Mauro from the reception desk: really focused on meeting clients' requests, warm and still polite, heplful in any occasion, ready to go beyond his strict responsibility to make you feel confortable. A great thanks!

This is a nicely designed well run hotel. We had a very nice room with good a/c and cable in all languages. Breakfast was good. The hotel is located right near the Villa Borghese Park and there is public transport nearby. In general, this is a nice quiet place for resting after a good day of touring.

I can't say anything bad about the hotel but be aware that it is not located in the touring center of Rome, if that's important to you. Also, the restaurants around the hotel are expensive and not so good. You can eat much better elsewhere at a much more reasonable price.

I booked a room here for my wife on points as she needed to catch a flight home. I escorted her into the lobby only to learn that the hotel was either overbooked or had air conditioner problems and that she would have to take a shuttle to the sister hotel, the Hotel Bolivar. Not the end of the world. We had to go as we were rejoining our cruise, so I kissed her goodbye.

She reported that it was just as well that she moved hotels because the desk clerk asked her out for the evening. Apparently since he knew the husband was gone the wife was fair game.

I will say from what little I saw of the hotel it looked to have been recently remodeled and looked very nice, and for that reason I've given the hotel two stars instead of one. But men, if you stay here hold your women close!

Dea Sir,

with reference to your review, we are sorry your wife had the impression that someone here tried to invite her out, but, believe us, we asked everyone at the reception and nobody did anything even close to that.
We strongly believe that there must have been a huge misunderstanding between your wife and the receptionist on duty.
All our receptionists are always very discrete and nothing like this has ever happened before and it will never happen.

Best Regards
