although our room was not our first choice, we got a deal with breakfast included. (normally $35 euro) and we love staying there. The lobby is lovely and quiet. The concierge the best. And the bar on the rooftop with music and a panoramic view of ancient Rome lit up at night....just steps from the Pantheon, and an easy walk to everything including our favorite piazzas, Piazza Navona and Piazza Farnese.
If you book early or go through a good travel agent, you can usually get a good deal. It's a five-star hotel and we think it's well worth it. All rooms are not created equal and this time ours was small. Rome was crowded due to May Day, and the sainting of Popes. So all prices in Rome were hiked up considerably.
when I travel by myself, I feel quite secure at the Minerve!
