Hotel delle Province

First night in Rome, I stayed at this hotel and my main floor room and bathroom were clean, bed was comfy and the a/c worked well, but there was not one window in the room! In fact, one of the walls consisted of a drape covered fire-escape door. Since it was just for one night, and I was exhausted, it was not a major issue. Hotel is older but charming and clean. Check out the cozy garden area with a small outdoor sitting area (off from where the main desk is located). It's a quiet, semi-secluded outdoor spot in which to chat and enjoy a drink before going to dinner or retiring. The roof top restaurant where breakfast was served was bright and pretty cool way to start the day. The staff was pleasant and helpful, (especially the gentleman with the dark hair and glasses) who spoke fantastic English and patiently answered all of our questions and helped us with directions. Being able to buy time to use the computer in the main lobby was a plus. I liked that there were restaurants, cafes, gellaterias and shopping within walking distance of hotel and the Friday morning farmer's market I found just a few blocks away was a feast for the senses in that it sold everything from clothing to groceries and more.
A week later, stayed at this hotel again, for my last night in Italy and this time the room was on the 4th floor and much nicer than the one I had at my first night there. This time the room I got seemed airy and bright because it had a glass french door which led to a balcony. Didn't go on the balcony because I thought the door handle would come loose if I tried. All else was as good as my first night there so all in all, I have no major complaints about this hotel.

Room Tip: If you need a window in your room, stay away from room around the corner from check-in desk.

I found the room rates to be reasonable and the staff to be exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel advertises free Wi-Fi, which I found to be problematic. It really seemed dependent on exactly where in my room I positioned myself. I had two smartphones and a laptop, and the laptop was able to maintain a connection consistently although neither phone stayed connected consistently. The bed and pillows were average. Nice bathroom. 6 blocks from the Bologna metro station. Breakfast on the 6th floor patio was nice although sometimes the baked goods didn't seem as fresh as others. Minibar prices were very reasonable.

Room Tip: If you have wi-fi problems talk to the staff about it. There is a man there who monitors the wi-fi...

We (couple, 30+ of age) booked this hotel unseen for a somewhat cheaper price. From the booking information, Delle Province seemed alright, with a good location is a rather quiet street of Rome and with a 10-minute walk to the metro. An extra bonus that we later discovered was the nearby lavanderia where you can wash your clothes quick and cheap (the hotel does not cater for washing).
The Delle Province hotel staff are pleasant enough, but much can be said of the hotel itself. Our room was located on the ground floor and had no window. It was visibly dirty with streaks of mold both in the bathroom and on the walls and ceilings of the bedroom, the air-condition did not work and the towels and sheets smelled very sour. The poor standard of the room, the low quality of the breakfast with stale food exposed to room temperature for too long, the nasty surprise of added taxes that the staff "forgot" to mention eventhough we specifially asked about extra costs when we arrived - this all adds up for a non-recommendable hotel experience. We will not stay at the Delle Province again, nor will we recommend it to anyone - based on our accommodation experiences.

Staff helpful and pleasant on check in and at all other times. The local room tax is payable in cash on check out and they did advise us of this. Rooms spacious, fresh and clean. Travelled with our teenage children and were given rooms together which was great despite it being a last minute booking. Breakfast was usual continental buffet with choice of fresh fruit, cheeses, cold meats, bread, cakes etc.and unusual orange juice! Again staff very cheerful. Restaurant is rooftop giving nice views to start the day. Mini bar prices very reasonable. It takes under ten minutes to stroll to the metro station and it is three (quick) stops from the Termini so really easy to get around especially with tourist ticket. Only breakfast served in the hotel but the restaurant almost opposite was very good and the Stendal Bar along the road very good too and a bit cheaper if you want more of a snack type meal.Free wi fi useful. Only down side no tea & coffee facilities in the room.

the hotel was overall above expectations. the front desk were polite and manged English effectively. the people in charge of the breakfast room were incredibly welcoming. top grades for them. breakfast had fresh fruit, cakes, and all sort of nick knacks to start the day off. as for the place, the entrance provided enough space not to feel claustrophobic as with so many small hotels. the journals available are extensive. perhaps the map supplied should be substituted with one that included the hotel's area. the room was clean and spacious for a twin bed room. it even had a verandah. the breakfast room was welcoming and spacious and afforded a good view above surrounding roof tops. my advice is to try this out. I will, next time I'm in Rome. do not be worried about being distant from city centre. Rome has more than one city centre and anyway, the hotel is only six minutes walk away from the Bologna metro.

We was there 3 nights and don't find any complain about this hotel, cheap and near the famous places; good breakfast, good attention, clean. The hotel also is near Termini Station but not so close of it, the place is very tranquilo
