Honestly I might be the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, and that's saying a lot, bc I've stayed in some pretty crappy hotels. The "bed" felt like I was sleeping on the floor. If the floor wasn't so dirty, I may have had a better nights sleep on the floor. I don't think the walls have been painted in 10 years. Scuff marks and all sorts of things all over the walls. A random cut wire hanging from the ceiling. We stayed here for three days and they never cleaned our towels, they just left them in the same position they were when we went out for the day. They made the bed, but never changed the sheets or anything. Terrible Terrible.

That being said -- there are a few positive things about the hotel if you can get over the disgusting rooms. 1) Amazing location. Piazza Navona around the corner. 2) The only place on our stay that we had consistent free wifi that worked. Most places we went it barely worked and def. not for four people at the same time. 3) There is an elevator. Granted it's tiny, and it broke down one night (so we had to walk the 6 floors up after a long long day), but it worked when we had to move all of our luggage up so that was a plus.

Honestly I have to hope there is better than this in Rome. I've stayed in other large cities (London, NYC) and stayed in really small hotels that cost a fortune, but this was by far the worst. I felt like I was living in a hostel for the price of something much much better. Would not recommend.

We loved this hotel in Rome. Fabulous location, about 50metres from the Piazza Narvona and 4 min walk to the Campo de Fiori. Lots of restaurants and cafes very close. all the main attractions of Rome within easy walk. Service at the Hotel was fabulous. Free wi-fi..We arrived 2 days early and they were very obliging to find us a room.Manager of Hotel very helpful and friendly. Nothing was to much trouble. Also taxi rank right outside hotel which was great for getting back to the airport. Breakfast was ordinary however there is so many cafe's and markets within easy walk it wasnt a problem. Would definately stay there again.

The only good thing about this hotel was its central location in Travestere. The hotel itself is very noisy - marble and tile floors in both the halls and the rooms ensure that the sound travels everywhere. The corridors had a strange odour that didn't dissipate the entire time we were there. Breakfast was very limited and included no hot food whatsoever. My room was situated right next to a shared bathroom belonging to two other rooms, and whenever it was in use, it woke me up. The beds were small and very uncomfortable. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in this area, give this one a pass.

Dear Customer,

We respond to your review because We evaluated your opinion not in line with our expectations.
We want to clarify that the Hotel Primavera is located in the center of Rome near Piazza Navona, not in Trastevere.
We have taken note of some issues which also depend on the good behavior of the customer.
We are working on this.
As 2-star hotel without restaurant, we would like to emphasize that we cannot serve hot food.
Also the breakfast service is offered at a price of € 5 per person.

Thank you for your review
Best Regards
Hotel Primavera

I chose this hotel for its value and location, and was thoroughly impressed with my stay there. It is steps away from the Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, and Pantheon, and most importantly, it is also close to a plethora of bus stops. We had free public transportation with the Roma Pass, and we were easily able to get anywhere in the city with the stops near our hotel (very easy to get to the Vatican in particular). The shared bathroom left a little to be desired, but that is the only thing that was less than perfect about our stay.

We arrived in Rome in blistering heat and thank goodness had booked a taxi via SunTravel as we would never have found the hotel The Hotel is PART of a large building ( behind two enormous outer doors and down a sort of passage way where cars park) and seems to have rooms on four floors of a six storey building There is a central wooden and glass lift within a marble stair well which is charming and authentic We thought we had "under packed" but trying to lug a grip and two small trolley bags into this lift left us quite hysterical with tears of laughter/exhaustion It was nigh on impossible to find the actual reception area as all doors we encountered were locked....only some of which had brass plates on saying Hotel Primavera There appeared to be families living privately in other rooms/apartments Weird! Anyway after trying to converse with a non English speaking concierge near the main doors we eventually located reception on floor one After a horrible moment when it looked as though we weren't booked in after all!!!, we were relieved of our passports and given keys and no instructions other than go to floor 5.The key opened a large door (with another plaque) and led not into our room ...but a long cool corridor with many rooms and a communal bathroom off it . In our three nights there we saw not another guest! Our room was clean and very simple ie had nothing extra in it other than a fold up rack to place your suitcase on. There is wi fi by the way My daughter and I had a triple room ( double and single) with its own bathroom. The bathroom was clean and basic with a bidet ..and a broken toilet lid. The beds were comfortable with a blanket and bedspread and the hardest pillows I have ever experienced There was air conditioning and a well soundproofed window from which there were views of domes .The most wonderful thing about the hotel is the location ...one minute from Piazza Navona.... or leave the hotel and turn right and head for The Vatican ( 10 min walk) or left for everything else . We didn't have breakfast in the hotel in fact we never saw any staff again (apart from a lovely young lady who cleaned and tidied our room every day) until we asked for our passports back (we weren't allowed an audio guide at The Forum/|Coliseum without them) We would stay there again because of the location and the fact that it was a sort of 'come and go place' where no one bothers you It has a simple charm of its own If you want a modern all singing and dancing place with a kettle /cups/etc and a fridge for drinks then go somewhere else My final piece of advice is look at photos on GOOGLE so that you know what the entrance doors look like or you'll never find them ..and in the amazing June temperatures it's a make or break moment!

I stayed here for 3 nights with 2 friends. We were in a room listed as a triple, but with 1 double bed and 2 twin beds, it could have comfortably fit 4. We had a shared bathroom with one other room, but never had to wait to use it. My only complaint was that the bathroom was a little smelly. The room was spacious and had a great view of the city. The hotel staff were friendly and the price was reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. Once we arrived from the train station, we were able to walk to all the popular sites from the hotel within 5-30 minutes which saved money on transportation. Like others have said, it's just steps from Piazza Navona, so a great, central location. I would definitely stay here again!

I stayed there with my sister for 2 nights and it was perfect!

I think the best thing about this hotel is its location. Right in the middle of the historical center of Rome, a few steps from Piazza Navona and Campo de Fiori (great places with a lot of bars and restaurant). Everything is close by, the vatican is a 10-15 minutes walk away and there are a lot of bus/taxi stations around!

The hotel is clean and has a great atmosphere, the staff is very friendly! A little bit noisy in the evening because of all the bars around but after walking around all day in the city, once your head reaches the pillow you just forget about the noise and fall asleep deeply!

I really recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: We had a room on the fifth floor with a great view (room 11)!
