After a recommendation from a friend, my husband and I had dinner here on our first night in Rome. The restaurant is cozy and beautiful without being overly fancy. The service was great - they were attentive but not bothersome, and the bottle of wine our waitress recommended was reasonably priced and excellent. I ordered a pasta dish, which was great, but the lamb my husband ordered was truly exceptional. As it was our first night in town, we were too jet lagged to make it through dessert, which is a decision I now regret. I would definitely come back here and would recommend it for anyone looking for a great meal with a twist on traditional Italian food.

Great food and fantastic service at a authentic place. Chilled out but excellent and inventive menue.

Updated culinary take on upscale Roman dishes. So hard to chose so we shared the eggplant terrine stuffed with stracciatella cheese on a cherry tomato purée. I had the sea bass wrapped in escarole with shrimp on a bed of delicious chopped vegetables (there was a basilico/ sweetness that made me love those veggies). My dining partner had the carciofi flan on a bed of Parmesan cheese and pepper sauce. Custoza bianchi vino.

We're pretty well-traveled and love good food, and it's safe to say this is our favorite restaurant. We visited Rome two years ago and splurged for Sofia (after finding it on Tripadvisor) on our first night… then we came back two nights later! We visited Rome again this past week with parents and younger siblings in their 20's, and--again-- fantastic! The atmosphere, service, and above all the food are perfect. We can't wait to go back!
