The reviews were so positive for this restaurant that we were really looking forward to our lunch. Nice place, my first thought was "very ladies-who-lunch", lots of white with very feminine artwork on the walls. And, in fact, two Italian women were enjoying their salads when we went in. But it was actually almost exclusively Italian business people at lunch, many obviously regulars.
The service was very friendly. The menu looked interesting, but nothing lived up to expectations. My appetizer, a millefeuille, and pork main were both served barely warm. The pork was a beautiful cut, and generous, but almost flavorless and the mashed potatoes were wildly oversalted. My partner liked his beef dish better and loved the generous cheese plate.
