Visiting Rome and went here based on the reviews of Trip Advisor.

From our hotel it was a bit of a drive and at night looked more like a commercial area and not that pleasing to the eye. No outside seating.

At night, the best I can describe this area is more commercial versus residential. Not the type of area to take a midnight stroll. What the heck...we tried it...

Inside the place was clean and locals at the tables. I didn't hear any English being spoken.

Our waiter was a young, friendly kid willing to work with us as we did not speak Italian and his English was a few words at best. He was multi tasking and as a result, our service was a bit hit and miss.

We ordered mixed vegetables, clams and mussels, pasta with pesto, pasta and lobster, mixed fish plate which consisted of grilled white fish, shrimp and calamari, and a caprese salad. Desert was tiramisu.

Each plate was excellent. Fresh and well seasoned.

Other then the lack of ambience in the outside area the place is worth a trip. Quality food and a pleasant surprise.

English a tad shaky here, but we managed quite nicely!
service and food were terrific. to illustrate, my son-in-law wanted tuna steak
on the "rare" side; I wanted mine on the "more done" side: both came out
perfect!
we loved this place.......and all the staff!
(even the 8 Euro/bottle house white wine was quite acceptable!)

This place offers you the chance to buy and eat really good fresh italian home made pasta. It's not a touristic place, they have great pasta with fresh fish or meat ar whatever you like, bring an itailan dictionary or a mobile translator if you don't speak italian and enjoy the food. Prices are not so high.

They get everything right in this restaurant - which is a good job as there is little choice in this neighbourhood.

open panels allow you to see into the kitchen which gives you the chef's table view which you pay handsomely for in London.

Two proper Italian men in the kitchen. both looked like they enjoyed food. always good to see.

I ordered the grilled fish platter - delightful - fresh, tasty and plentiful. my wife had the smoked beef carpaccio salad. She thoroughly enjoyed it. We were a little put out that they would swap smoked beef for parma ham - it was nice regardless.

They were on hand at every opportunity but not over bearing. there was a nice clientele of locals in as well. The chap that directed us there said that it was receiving good reviews - you can see why.

They topped it off with a cheeky nip of lemoncello which went down very well.

would i travel from central Rome to eat here - for a taste of true Rome as locals enjoy then why not. if you are staying at the Park Hotel then eat here each night.
