We (two couples) stayed for 4 nights (Feb. 28 - March 4). Rooms were adequately large with small refrigerator. Breakfast was typical (cheese, meats, cereals, fruit, yogurt, rolls, croissants, coffee, tea). Coffee was served in pots (with frothed milk also in a pot) to the table, so there was plenty for addtional cups. Breakfast room, room, bath, hotel in general, was very clean. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Hotel was located near Termini Train station and another stop, so easy access to all areas of the city. Several great restaurants nearby. Concierge suggested a couple which were great . . . Mamma Angela's in particular. Internet/computer available on first floor (free). Two nice sitting rooms on first floor to sit with friends and chat. Comfortable, convenient. I would suggest this hotel.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 4 nights in March. It's a small hotel in a good location. There is a metro station about a 4/5 minute walk and the termini station is only about 10 minutes from the hotel from here you can get everywhere in Rome! The staff are very friendly at the hotel, I was happy with the room. We had quite a large one, nice bathroom and the room had aircon. Clean towels were given everyday. The breakfast is typical continental no cooked stuff but still fairly nice especially the croissants :-) It is a small breakfast area but then its a small hotel so it's addequate and the breakfast is open until 11am. There are actually quite a few nice restaurants close by the hotel which is also handy in the evening if you dont fancy getting the train, if you ask at reception they get discount at some. I had a great stay and do reccomend this hotel. If i was to go back to Rome I would book Montecarlo again.

We visited Rome in March 2013. The hotel is close to Termini station which is convenient not only because you easily walk to the historical city centre, but you also easily get to the airport. The hotel was clean, the rooms are fine, the breakfast is ok too but nothing special. Good pick if you don't want to spend much money on accomodation.
We have to praise the receptionists, especially the tall Italian man with big brown eyes (we unforutunatelly don't remember his name) who was very kind, extremely nice, helpful and polite.

We came to Rome to watch the rugby and chose the hotel as near to the station. The area was very good and not typical of some hotels near the station. The staff were good and friendly. We stayed in the new bit and the room was very nice with a Jacuzzi bath! Everything very clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast in basement room, typical continental breakfast. Plenty of food and hot beverages on demand. Would definitely stay again if in Rome.

For the money this hotel is worth considering, good spread for breakfast. 10 minute walk from Termini Station and only 5 mins walk from nearest Metro Station. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms adequate with good showers, found beds a bit hard though. Would go back
