This is my first time at Mercure Corso Trieste in Rome. At my arrival I had early check in and room 210, an "eco-friendly, Planet 21" room, with wood furniture and with separate day and night space. As there were some issues regarding the cleaning and the condition of the bathroom, I reported the problem (as an Accor Silver Member and Hilton Gold I'm used with the same standards) and changed the room at a top floor. This room was clean, comfortable bed, bathroom clean, and a big terrace.
the hotel is well situated in a semi residential area, with busses to the city center and Termini station. in the area there are good restaurants and bars for "apperitivo" as Numbs and Sesto (Piazza Buenos Aires). the hotel is also close to villa Ada and Villa Borghese. The reception personnel was nice and tried their best to compensate the problem from the first day.

Save on down town prices. Get away from noisy streets at the end of the day. Who needs a view of the Colosseum when you can get to any of the sights in 15 - 30 minutes at cost of a €1.50 bus or metro ticket? Several good restaurants within 5 mins walk. Easy access to the Metro (no steps to heave your bag up like London or Paris) means a saving on those airport shuttles. Hotel very welcoming. Everything you expect from Accor.

Room tip: All rooms have good accessibility. All rooms should be equally quiet.

Location is 10 minutes from Metro, supermarkets. A bit far from the train terminal where everything starts from that terminal. Beware that there is no AC inside your room till summer. We stayed in May. The buffet breakfast is just ok.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for the great review of our hotel!
Let me apologize especially for the situation you had to face about the air-conditioning .
The general air conditioner system of our hotel is centrally set: on winter with heating function and in summer with air-conditioning. Due to the external changeable atmospheric conditions during your stay, we had some problems to schedule the right time slot of the air-conditioning emission.

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again very soon.

We stayed at the Mecure Corso Trieste for two nights on our recent trip to Rome. It is located in a quiet area a little far from the main tourist areas of Rome but with easy access to downtown via the Metro. There are several restaurants and shops in the area. To get there from Termini take the Metro B train towards Jonio and get out at the S. Agnese/Annibaliano stop. Follow the signs to exit onto Corso Trieste. Turn left just before the Conrad Department store (There is a good grocery store inside the Conrad in the back.) Walk about 5-10 minuets and turn right onto Via Gradisca. The Mecure is just on the right. We arrived around 1:30pm and was able to check right into the room. We were given room 210 which was an "eco" room. The clothes rack and lamps looked like they were made out of drift wood and the bed side tables were tree stumps. The room was a good size and had a fridge. There was also a safe in the room but we didn't use it. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was good. The only problem was that the bed was hard as a brick. That is the only reason we didn't give this place a 5 bubble. We put the comforter over the mattress which helped a little and asked for an extra blanket. The breakfast was the usual buffet with meat, cheese, fruit, bread, and pastries. There was a couple of hot options, scrambled eggs, sausages, and bacon. It was quite adequate to set you up for the day but, it cost 15 euros per person and considering there are places in the area to get breakfast it may be a little overpriced. The real bonus of this hotel is the roof top terrace And even though the bar wasn't open you could still go out onto the terrace, there was plenty of seating and it would have been great to have a drink up there. If you are looking for a quiet hotel then this is the place for you.

Nice friendly staff!! Good welcome and good service! Location is perfect! Metro @ 5 minutes walking destance any the metro takes you in 4 stops to colloseum! only the hotel is a little bit old ... if you change the color of the rooms and paint them it would look a lot better.. Breakfast was a nice buffet with enough choice for everybody.
