This is a huge market selling everything from fresh produce to household products. This is the market where locals shop. Walked around and took in the sights and smells! Bought some cheese and wine.

This is a market where the locals do their shopping. You can find just about anything. There's fresh produce, dairy, meat, fish, poultry, pasta, spices, wine, flowers, household goods, fabric, dry cleaners, a shoe repair, coffee shop, delicatessen, bakery goods...on and on. Colourful, extensive, full of life. Well worth a visit. Close to the Vatican City.

Huge indoor fresh market. Buy everything here from wine to vegetables to meat, cheese, household goods. If you're too laden with purchases, ask a shopkeeper to call a cab for you! All worked well and major savings compared to tourist markets. A fun and functional place

After a bustled visit of the Vatican Museum, we dropped in here for some peace and calm!! There are so many wonderful stalls catering for tourists and locals alike. Tasters are offered at many stalls and there is at least one bar tucked in here where an aperol spritz will be served aperitivo style with toasted sandwiches and nibbles for the cost of the drink.

The biggest covered food market in Rome, located not far from the Vatican museum. We arranged a local visit with a Roman host (through another abb site, 38€)and it was really good. In addition to the strolling around the market, food and wines tasting was included, for me the best way to visit a market. You must try the Freshly roasted porchetta (herbed whole pig), so so good and the best I ever eaten. In 2 hours, we had a good round and a good lunch too. Highly recommended.

Because there's nothing like it in the US. If there was a heaven for Foodies, this would be it. Over 270 vendors, `every edible thing you can think of...and many things you've never heard of. I loved it more than the ruins. Wish I could live in there.

We no longer stay in hotels because eating out usually disappoints us unless we have a really good recommendation from a local. With an apartment that has a stove and/or oven makes going to the market an adventure. Just be forewarned that you might see something that you would like to consider but cannot find the same stall once you wander away. Stalls are numbered, so take note if you think you might return for that perfect cut of meat or stunning piece of fish. Then go home with a ton of vegetable, cook, and then spend money on desert, coffee, or other beverage with your remaining Euros.

I had such fun browsing the different stalls in this market, I felt like a local. The prices were so good. Also had porchetta from here. A lot of baked goods to savor.

My hair is still standing up on my arms. Fresh fish, meats cold cuts of all types, dairy, breads and pastries fruits and vegetables that look as if they were picked minutes ago. Staying almost across the street,it has now become my daily ritual. You must go if you're in the area

Our family was staying around the corner for a few days while visiting Rome. Why go to a supermarket when you have this so close? So many stalls selling everything. Lots of fish, meat, bread, oil and fruits/vegetables. The colours and smells were amazing. Hard to choose. We all had our say in what to buy (after some yummy samples). Always fun to decide what you are going to eat based on what looks good!
