We had a great time at Roscioli's wine and food tasting. We went on our first night of our vacation, what a way to start the trip! We learnt a lot about the regions of Italy, what they're know for in terms of wine/food and Alessandro was an entertaining, fun teacher. Not to mention everything was plentiful and very yummy. This is a must in Rome if you're a foody or looking to be one. We really enjoyed the group session, lots of interesting people from different countries to chat with while you eat and drink.

We were recommended this tasting through fellow travellers and tried to book last minute, and Alessandro made it happen. We had the most fun time. Alessandro shared his passion for wine and glorious food throughout the night. It was a great way to end our Roman honeymoon part of the trip!

We have been to Rome each summer for years and were looking for something different to try. What a great experience! We learned a lot about wine and through aside a lot of our preconceived notions. The cheeses and meats were wonderful, everything was divine! I can't wait for our box of wine we ordered to arrive - and the home made lemoncello was the best I ever had!

My husband and I attended the classic tasting last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The tasting happens in an amazing wine cellar, and you sit at a large table, feeling both like a guest and student. As other reviewers have noted, Alessandro was very knowledgeable and helpful. In addition to the wines, the cheeses we tasted were better than any I have ever had, and the introduction to breads from different regions was also interesting. If you are vegetarian you can tell them in advance and get a special pasta dish, which I had not known, but the bread and cheese was honestly enough to make a meal. I am very glad we took the time to attend the wine evening and recommend it to anyone. It was nice to be in a group as well, and the other couples were friendly and enthusiastic.

When you go there, be advised that the tasting room is a block further way from the restaurant, so if you are using google maps, it is the forno location.

My Fiancée and i went on our last evening in Rome to the wine tasting.
We had a great evening with a lot of laughing, Alessandro the sommelier is a great teacher with a lot of knowledge and the most important thing he’s really funny!
Also almost everything is possible with the tasting. Taste some extra wines is not a problem at all.
The salami’s and cheeses are one of the best I ever tasted!! Next time when we are in Rome we are defiantly going back. Danny
