We recently spent a week at this delightful, centrally-located hotel and would highly recommend it to all. It's convenient to transportation, restaurants, and tourist attractions. The excellent facilities are made more so by the attitude of Jean and her staff. As opposed to being treated simply as a guest (like most hotels), we were greeted and treated as if we were members of her family - a rarity in our experience. The staff was quite helpful in booking tours, transportation, and in providing advice on restaurants, shopping, etc. We'll go back and so should you!

We recently spent 3 nights in this small hotel. The staff was fantastic: Marianna works the desk during the day on weekdays; she was fun and helpful in providing directions and finding my reading glasses! Her hubby works the desk in the evenings and helped us find a wonderful restaurant, La Carbonara, where we had a fantastic meal and great wine. Mom, Jeanne (sp?), fills in on the weekends and made us feel like we were old family friends on a visit. How many hotels do they hug you as you leave for the next leg of your trip? She suggested yet another restaurant were we had the most relaxed and economical dinner experience of our trip.

We stayed in room 18 which was very clean and made up as two twins as we requested. There was a wall safe in the room where you set the combination, a large closet, a dorm size frig, a small desk, and night stands. There was a small TV, but we didn't touch it, so cannot comment on the offerings. The bathroom was nice sized with a large soaker tub and a space-aged shower that had sprays for the feet, side jets, rain head, and a regular hand-held shower with great water pressure. The only concern with the tub/shower was probably user error on our part - we could determine how to adjust the surround to prevent some of the spray from escaping. Another minor concern was the lack of counter space in the bath.

Others have mentioned the market that sets up outside the hotel - good for picking up fresh fruits, not so good when you have the windows open and the start setting up early in the morning.

We walked everywhere from this hotel, to and from the train station, all the ancient Rome sites, Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon and even Vatican City (unless you're a walker you may not want to do this). There are numerous good reasonably priced restaurants in the area, also.

For a two star hotel, this is a jewel: Friendly, accommodating, reasonably priced, convenient, and clean - what else do you need?

Room Tip: Go the extra cost of a superior room for a larger bath.

Very clean and comfortable room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a good base for touring the famous sights of Rome and close to the main transport hub at Termini. We would definitely use this hotel again.

Thanks, to Hotel Giuliana and its staff to make my dream comes true, helping me on my first trip to Italy! They arranged for me some wonderful guided tour. The staff was very kind and professional. The Hotel Giuliana, the best decision, I did: the perfect location, clean, safe, quiet, and the delicious breakfast served daily, I missed my Cappucino. I will back. Arrivederci, Roma, Good Bye, Au revoir."

Prior to our trip to Rome we searched guidebooks and websites furiously , looking for a hotel that would be quaint, quiet and easily accessible to the heart of Rome! We found what we were looking for in Hotel Giuliana! What a treasure! The hotel is situated a 5 minute walk from one of the most beautiful churches in Rome! Good shops and restaurants are a five minute walk away.an open air market runs six days a week next to the hotel. The colluseum is a fifteen minute walk away and Termini Station is a five minute walk! We LOVED the hotel! The quirky elevator was a hit with us all. Our room was pretty. We flung open the windows and enjoyed the colorful flower boxes and dancing laundry fluttering in the spring breeze. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We found plenty of room to place our belongings. The shower had abundant hot water.there was a hair dryer and loads of clean towels. The cleaning lady is a perfectionist and does a thorough job.
She also makes an awesome cappuccino ! A Continental breakfast comes with the room and includes cappuccino, juice, tea, pastries, cereal, fruit and yoghurt. What helps to make this place fabulous is the staff! Jean, her husband and daughter (along with other staff) genuinely care about the comfort and stay of their guests. They happily provide information and advice about sites and transportation. They know about walking routes and will assist their guests with booking tours of Floence and Pompeii. They know great restaurants in the area. Jean introduced me to the delightful spirit- Limoncello! This lemon drink is Devine! These people are genuine, kind and caring. I felt safe and fortunate to be under their roof. We met other guests who were staying at this hotel after travelling on the same cruise ship as us.. They enjoyed the hotel and like us,the transition from ship to shore was not a disappointment. We will always remember our stay! It was a pleasure!

Room Tip: We were facing an inner courtyard away from the bustle of the street. It was less private but quite quiet.
