Very friendly and helpful staff at a great location just behind the colosseum in a quite area with great food around. Breakfast comes with a view. We ate outside twice (15 degrees in December is a true holiday). Rooms are comfortable, pleasant and clean. Rome with a genuine smile.

This is a great hotel that well deserves it's range of recommendations. The staff were really helpful as we were there for the rugby and we got some good advice about 'the third half'. The rooms are spacious for a city centre hotel. Best of all is the rooftop breakfast. Even in November we were able to take breakfast outside.

Fully recommended.

Room Tip: They are all good, the higher the better.

Have just had a wonderful three night stay at the Capo d'Africa. The hotel is in a quiet location just past the Colliseum and is upmarket but without being pretentious. Room was bright and spotless with a pleasant outlook over the street but quiet even at night. Breakfast was a good selection from the buffet with views over the rooftops to the Colliseum. Staff where really helpful and all spoke good English. WIll defiantly return and would recommend to anyone, which is not something I say often. Some lovely restaurants in the area so we didn't need to go far in the evenings, we tried Luzzi, just around the corner, which we found purely by accident, great local restaurant full of locals with great food at bargain prices.

Room Tip: We had 224

Nice location just three blocks or so from the Colliseum, Palatine Hill and then the Forum. Among the central Rome hotels, though, this is not a centralized location, so other sites (Vatican, Spanish Steps, Trevi, Pantheon . . . ) are further away. Hotel has a simple fine-but-not-luxurious lobby. I had the Terrace Suite, which was super-nice with a 20x20 roof terrace (with a distant Colliseum view), and it was probably less expensive than a nice, regular room at Rome's elite hotels. Neighborhood had a few casual, comfortable spots to eat. I'd go back, for sure.

Room Tip: If you want to splurge a little, you can get the terrace suite on the top floor. The private terrac...

You get what you pay for...

This is a very nice hotel in an excellent location, less than 10 minutes walk to Coliseum and historical sites of Rome makes it worth it.

Very clean and comfortable room with a nice, big, comfy bed. Breakfast had a wide variety of choices and of very good quality.

The staff were always very helpful suggesting restaurants, they also sell Roma Pass, tourist bus, etc which is very handy.

We will stay there again on our next visit to Rome :)

This hotel was excellent. We had a premier double which was very spacious and had large french opening windows.

They gave us a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival as it was our anniversary, which was a nice touch.

The free bar was nice, with a couple of beers and soft drinks in.

Breakfast was very nice buffet style and great that it was on until 11am. You could sit out on the terrace if you liked.
Hotel was in a good place, just a few minutes from the colosseum. There was also a couple of restaurants and an Irish bar within a minutes walk.

Overall very happy with the hotel, staff, location, price & room. No complaints at all, would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Premier room comes with free mini bar and wifi.

The hotel is located near the Coliseum and just a short drive from the city center. (About 10 euros by taxi).

Hotel staff were eager to recommend restaurants and tours, but their recommendations were generally helpful.
The rooms were very clean and well equipped. However, weak stream shower not repaired during our stay there.

Breakfast on the fourth floor was nice and tasty.
