We enjoying staying in this hotel. One of the major assets is their front desk staff. They went out of their way to help with any request. It was close enough to the Metro, so it was easy to get to all the major sites. We like clean, neat, tidy accomodations and they do that well. They also do not come off like a chain, which was nice.

We certainly chose the right hotel for my partner's birthday week! Location is as good as it gets, wonderful terrace for breakfast - in glorious March sunshine - comfortable rooms, and extremely helpful staff. What more do you want?

I booked this hotel after seeing the reviews on tripadvisor. The hotel is very nice, looks like a private mansion.
The room was neat, quiet and functional. A complimentary bottle of sparkling wine was waiting for us over ice, which is a very nice attention. The bathroom is small but clean.
I missed a coffee machine or at least a boiler for tea.
The breakfast food was great; A lot of choice, pastries, fresh fruits, eggs and bacon, cheese and ham. Several type of juice. The staff is very nice, serving you coffee, hot chocolate or cappucino.
We had a drink to the bar, but did not ask for the room service (food). There is no restaurant per se in the hotel.
The terrace is great, the view is beautiful. There was several good restaurants around, not too expensive and friendly staffed. The hotel is situated just a few minutes walk from the coliseum, and the metro station is just across the street (from the coliseum).

We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone. the staff is very helpful and caring. We appreciated the warm welcome and felt like in a friend's house.

We stayed here for our first anniversary weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I had told the hotel in advance that it was our anniversary and we got a bottle of proseco sent to our room from the management on arrival stating have a great anniversary.

The breakfast choices were great and varied each day.

The location is virtually on top of the colosseum and you can see this from one of the roof terraces. To be able to eat breakfast inside or out and utilize the roof terrace after a busy day of sightseeing is great and a rare treat in most city breaks.

Our room was a lovely size with alegre comfy bed and free wifi.

The staff are all very helpful and friendly - especially the staff in the breakfast room who helped families and couples alike.

There are many cities in the world still to see but if we came back to Rome or knew friends who were coming we would happily advise this hotel.

This hotel is named after its side street very close to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum and Palatine. It is handy for the Colloseo Metro station and convenient bus and tram routes across the city. A taxi rank is nearby. The hotel is elegant, stylish and the room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable and the temperature was well-controlled. The street is unusually quiet for Rome and the hotel was also free from noise. The breakfast room is on the top floor with a terrazzo giving fine views towards the Colosseum and beyond. The breakfast buffet was abundant and excellent. The hotel reception staff are friendly, helpful, notably multilingual and have deep local knowledge. They very readily telephoned ahead to attractions to see about opening times and tickets and had suggestions for alternatives. There are at least three good local restaurants within three hundred metres so there is no need to return to the city centre to dine out. The hotel is elegantly Roman and caters well for Italians and visitors without being touristical. The district is refined and not at all crowded, with genuine local facilities such as restaurants and the farmacia. My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay and would like to come and stay again.

Room Tip: The ground floor was very convenient. Higher floor rooms will have city views.

My Mother and I stayed for 4 nights at the Capo d'Africa after a lot of research on my part and helped by the great reviews on Trip Advisor...... we wasn't disappointed.
I had booked through Expedia as this gave us the best price for the Hotel,Flights and Transfers. It is easy to get either the bus or train from Fiumicino Airport but as my Mum is 81 I knew it would be more comfortable if I booked a shared return transfer. On arriving at the hotel in the afternoon a Twin Room which we requested wasn't available until the following day, however they put a spare bed in a Double Room for us and we were happy with that. The following morning we headed for the Coliseum, I had already pre-booked one ticket for myself as Mum was entitled to free entry, you collect the free ticket when you get there just remember to take ID with you. When we got back to the hotel late afternoon our twin room was ready for us. The room was a great size, as was the bathroom, with a bath and overhead power shower, plus toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, brilliant mattresses, we were at the front of the hotel practically on the ground floor, there was a little noise disturbance but only on a couple of mornings when the dustbin men were doing their rounds which is to be expected especially if like me you sleep with the window open!! The 4th floor breakfast room was extremely welcoming and bright and we sat and had our breakfast on the terrence on a couple of occasions, the food was brilliant, all fresh and always being replenished, and you couldn't ask for a more welcoming atmosphere from the staff and a great start to your day.

We found ALL the hotel staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable, they were all very solicitous especially to my mother and were very concerned when I had hurt my foot and provided me with an ice pack. The decor of the hotel is modern, bright and contemporary and extremely well maintained and clean. It is few minutes walk away from the Coliseum and either Metro Line, there are plenty of restaurants within a few minutes walk which are authentic and unspoilt by mass tourism.

I would most definitely stay at the Capo d'Africa again and highly recommend it to anyone.

My family stayed here for 3 nights in April & we were pleasantly suprised with this little gem. The staff were very helpful & friendly and the rooms were just right. We booked the Ancient Rome walking tour via the hotel web site, & this was the highlight of our trip. Our guide was great & as it was just the 6 of us, it was a highly informative experience - well worth the cost. The staff at the front desk recommended local places to eat & each one was better than the previous. I highly recommend this little treasure for a short break, but avoid the night illumination tour - it was terrible - the windows on the coach were so badly fogged up due to broken seals, that you could not see a thing & when we left the tour early & complained, they did not really care at all. On saying that, Rome is a fantastic city and Capo D'Africa a true find.
